Those Fancy Slim TV's ...

I was watching the Ghost Whisperer (one of my favourite shows) last night with wifey and I noticed that the colour on my TV isn't as great as some of those that I've seen in those shops out there. Of course, my TV isn't really one of those fancy branded TV's. It high time I get a new TV for the family.

Nothing is really wrong with my TV but I work with colours in the office and I am a little particular about my greens being real greens and my blues being blues unfortunately the colours on my TV tends to be on the dull side no matter how much I tweak them.

I've been eyeing one of those new fancy slim Plasma TV's I've seen out there. Now those babies are really state of the art. And the colours they have on it are so perfect that it looks like you're looking of a window instead of actually watching a TV. What I wouldn't give to find one of those in my stockings this Christmas, you heard me Santa? I'm hoping to see one in my stocking, ok? LOL!

Well, maybe not in my stocking cos those things may be slim and all but they're not exactly light. Trust me, I know cos I tried lifting one. So, if you're going to give me one for Christmas this year Santa, make sure you also include the tv wall bracket for it. You don't expect me to put it on the floor now do you? LOL!

Oh, and if any of you would like to get me one you can you know, just because Santa is already getting me one doesn't mean you don't need too, ya? LOL! And boy, do those things cost a bomb, so make sure you guys save enough before you go out and get me one, ya :D

A Great Way to Savebuckets Of Cash!

Have you ever had problems finding for something online and how difficult it is sometimes to find the exact item you're looking for? Then when you actually do locate the item you want, the price is not what you expected. I've gone through something like that countless times.

There was this time I was looking for this particular watch online. I searched and searched and searched (ok, ok, you get the picture I know ... LOL) and I was overjoyed when I actually found the item. Then I looked at the price and it was absurdly priced. I knew for a fact what the pricing range of that watch was and what they were asking for was way above what I was willing to pay.

That's why these days I use Savebuckets to search for anything that I need online. Savebuckets is an online comparison shopping site. It's free and it will be able to help you find that elusive product you want and the approximate price that you're willing to pay. Neat isn't ? It will save me loads of time searching for what I need not to mention the amount of money I can save.

They have thousands of products online from a huge range of shops which you can search from. They also have this cool thing called My Price where you can stick to your budget when buying a product online. All you need to do is just key in your email address, then state the maximum amount you're willing to pay and it will do a price comparison and contact you by email when your product has fallen beneath your maximum asking price. Great isn't it?

At least I won't waste countless hours online searching and searching and searching for something I need. I'll just let Savebuckets do it for me :)

How Cool Can Your Bedding Be?

Just a few minutes ago my wife called me and said we need to get some new sheets for Christmas and I'm inclined to agree with her. I'm getting a little bored with the sheets that we currently have. Even the boys are going to need some new sheets.

The last time we bought some new sheets was about 4 months or so ago. We got this real good deal for some nice 100% cotton sheets (that's only kind my wife likes) and when we got opened it at home, though it was 100% cotton, it was a little on the rough side. Wife said it had to do with the thread count or something along those lines, what do I know about bedding stuff? LOL!

But the thing is, they have some pretty drab designs out there. I'm looking at something that will add a totally new dimension to bedding. Something that will showcase both wifey's and my character and I don't think we'll be able to find it out there in the stores.

That is why I was excited when wifey told me to check out this site offering some pretty Cool Bedding solutions. She said it was just what we were looking for. So, I check out the site called VisionBedding.com and she was right. Along with the many many cool and amazing designs for your bedding and pillows that they have on offer, you can also create your own custom bedding designs by turning your digital photos into a personlized bedding set! Something that suits your character and style, something that befits your personality.

The possibilities to creating a bedroom totally unique is simply endless. That is why this year I'm going to create something out of this world for both the boys and our bedroom and make sure we have the coolest bedding set in the whole neighborhood :) And I know VisionBedding.com is going to help me turn that dream into an reality.

One Cool Frame ...

I was out for an appointment a little earlier today and happen to pass by this store and saw this amazing little gadget. I wouldn't really call it a gadget but it was electronic though. You know how at home you have tons of photo frames lying around all over with those nice pictures of your loved ones and memories of your holidays, etc, etc, etc? And sometimes you just plain run out of space for all those photo frames?

What I saw in this shop is the answer to that problem. They were selling this thing called a digital photo frame where you can have tons of pictures in one single frame and it will display it on a nice LCD screen like a slide show. How cool is that? I though that would make an excellent Christmas gift for someone so I went it to enquire more about it but unfortunately, they don't have stock. What a bummer!

The moment I go back to the office, I logged on and searched online and I found this site called Digitalframez.com offering these digital frames in various different sizes depending on your preference. It's actually pretty easy to use. All you need to do is transfer your memory card directly in to the digital photo frame and download the pictures and you're ready to roll :) It even has sound and you can also display video playbacks on it. I really need to go get myself one of these. With the amount of digital pictures I have lying around, this would be a great solution to displaying them :)

I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas ...

Ah, Monday, my favourite day of the week is here again. NOT! If you've been reading my other blog, Anything Goes, you guys would know I hate Mondays, well, I still do, nothing much has changed about Mondays. But so far, Monday has been pretty good (well, it's only 9.15am, ask me in another hour or two and I just might be singing a different tune!)

At present I'm pretty free for the moment. None of my client has called yet to make my life miserable just yet ... LOL! Well, that gives me a little time to post something here and then do some blog hopping for a bit :D

The weekend was well spent so no complains there. Even the aches I got from the water park was well worth it cos it sure was a fun time. I'm well rested, the aches are gone and I'm ready to face the week ahead. And the fact that it's going to be Christmas soon is also contributing to my good spirits :) I love this time of year, everywhere you go, you see Christmas decorations up and there's a certain magic in the air.

I'm going to get my Christmas tree somewhere this week, seeing as how my old tree has outlived it's lifespan. Mrs. Spiff saw some tree on sale, in Ikea and a few other places so we'll be giving it a look see this week. I just might take a day off and go get it. I don't want to wait till the weekend cos I know the place will be too packed with those doing their Christmas shopping too.

The only thing I wish we had here is snow. That would sure be an awesome Christmas. Well, at least for someone who's never experienced snow, it would be awesome :D I've always had this fantasy ... urrmmm, maybe fantasy is too adult a word ... (LOL) ... dream is more like it. I've always had this dream to build a snowman, make snowballs and have a snowball fight. I'd build this snow fortress, just like Calvin and Hobbes does and wait for my version of Suzie to come and splat her right on the kisser ... LOL!

I wonder if I go out in my yard later today and do a naked dance or something, some snow just might fall? LOL! I know it's morning and I should stop dreaming already. But hey, I'm in Christmas mood and I'll dream all I want!

Actually, wifey and me saw this program on TV last nite about this guy who organized a Christmas party with a Medieval theme and we thought, maybe next year we'd try something like that. The whole party was organized using Medieval stuff from the plates, to the way the food was cooked, to the costumes and everything. It was really cool and it's something worth thinking about for next year. Too late for this year cos it's going to take a long time to plan and I just don't have the time. But next year for sure :)

Ok, that's about all form me for the moment. I'll be back later to fill you on how Monday has treated me. Now for some blog hopping ...

The Gambling Son.

This afternoon, I took the boys and went out to the hypermarket to get some stuff for them. They kept complaining that there nothing in the fridge for them when in true fact there is but all uncooked stuff ... LOL! I couldn't stand their whining anymore, so I took them to get some tidbits for them.

As usual whenever they're at any mall or hypermarket, they're bound to run to the toy section, well, I tend to do that also at times ... hehehe ... My elder boy saw this pretty cool looking roulette set and said he wanted it for Christmas. I asked him what the heck for? I'm not an advocate of gambling or anything. But then he showed it to me and I looked at the detailing on the roulette set and it was pretty high quality.

But then, knowing the two of them, they would probably break it in a couple of days time or lose most of the parts so I put it back and told the elder boy that maybe he could go online and play some of those free roulette games but under my strict supervision. Don't want him stumbling on those real online casino sites like http://www.topusaonlinecasinos.com/ or something. I've checked these sites out and they offer some pretty real stuff online. Damn, why am I putting up the full address here ... hehehe ... Thank god my son doesn't read my blog!

Actually the site is pretty cool if you're into online gambling. The moment you enter the site, they list the top 10 online casino sites right on its front page. Cool huh. But then it's only for resident in the good old US of A, so tough luck if you're from anywhere else :)

The Night Symphony.

I have a confession to make. I snore like a freight train at nights when I'm really tired. It's so loud that it keeps Mrs. Spiff awake all night! Thank god it only happens when I'm really exhausted. On normal nights, the snoring is kept to a minimum level. Well, according to Mrs. Spiff that is cos she's the one on the receiving end of my snoring sessions ... LOL!

Even the two boys snore like freight trains at nights cos they're usually pretty beat from the days fooling around. In fact the younger guy snores so loud that sometimes we can hear him through our bedroom door ... hehehe ... I'm sure last night I would have snored like a dinosaur or something cos of how exhausted I was from the waterpark adventure but Mrs. Spiff was also pretty beat so I guess my snoring didn't bother her last night.

Maybe this Christmas I should get her some hearing protection from Hearos. I'm sure she would really appreciate it at times when I start my night symphony ... LOL! Besides it just might be a good idea for me as well, seeing as how modern technology has somehow contributed in part to a host of unintended consequences relating to our hearing such as the roaring of truck engines, excessively loud rock music blasting away from my neighbors house and a host of other things that emit sound decibels that can cause some long term damage to our hearing!

Hearos actually provides some pretty comfortable and really affordable hearing protection products that fits nicely with your individual style and needs such as the travel ear plugs, the musician ear plugs and yes, the all important ear plugs for snoring ... LOL! Go check out their site now, you just might save someone from having a sleepless night :D

Noisy Parents!

Every 2 or 3 nights a week, around 9.45pm, this huge contingent of cars will arrive in my neighbourhood and wait outside the neighbours and my house clogging up the neighbourhood for a good 15 minutes or so. No, they're not some mafioso staking out the place or anything. They're just waiting for their kids to finish their tutoring session.

One of the house a few doors away from my place offers tutoring to these school kids at night and it ends at 10 pm hence the parents arriving to pick their kids up. I really don't mind but they cause such a racket when they arrive that it drives me up the wall, not to mention blocking every other residents path with their cars.

Sometimes I'm wondering why they even bother to send their kids for tutoring? Isn't what they learn in school sufficient? Well, judging by the amount of students who attend these tutoring sessions, I guess not. You know I never did attend any tutoring in my time and I turned out just fine ... LOL! Urrrmmm, then again maybe I should have attended some!

But these days with the advent of the computers and the internet, why bother sending your kids for tutoring sessions at some far away place when you can do it online? There's this company called Tutorvista.com that offers online tutoring sessions from the comforts of your own home. No need leave the confines of your house and find a respectable tutor and clog up someones neighbourhood!

Tutorvista.com is a cool site that offers an incredibly great unlimited monthly package for all your tutoring needs at only $99.99 a month, which you can use as much as you want for whatever subject you need, be it Math or Algebra, whenever you want it and it's available round the clock, 24-7! So, if you're really looking for some homework help for your kids and don't want to drive too far to send them for tutoring, then Tutorvista.com is the solution for your needs.

Besides, you won't drive some poor devil whose house entrance you're using as a waiting zone up the wall! LOL!

Yawnnnnn ...

I'm actually really really really tired, achy and sleepy but I know I won't be able to sleep well if I didn't log in here and post a little before I head to bed. I've become so addicted it wouldn't be right if I didn't at least do some blog hopping for a few minutes before calling it a day.

I know I'm going to regret saying this but blogging has become like a drug to me! Maybe I should check into some drug rehabilitation centre for bloggers or something ... LOL! I wonder if there is such a thing as a rehabilitation centre for blogging overdose :D

I had an enjoyable but tiring day at the waterpark with wifey and the kids today. You can read all about that adventure on Anything Goes! I'm just plain too lazy to repeat that story here ... LOL! Well, now that I've put my two cents worth for the day, I think I'd better post this and log off cos I can't keep my eyes open anymore. Don't want to fall asleep right here on my keyboarddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd ... (ZZZZZ ... LOL!)

The World's Easiest Tag

I was blog hopping a few minutes ago and when I stopped at Marzie's blog I saw that she tagged me for a meme. In fact it was a really really really simple meme to do.

What a stroke of luck cos I was just saying to the wife that I'd love to do a meme right now (I'm a little insane at time of the morning ... LOL). And my luck just held out cos there was this tag waiting for me at Marzie's :)

Besides, the tag looks like it's real fun to do. I was asked this question by Marzie on What are the 5 gifts I would buy for myself this Christmas if I had an unlimited income? Now if only that was for real ... LOL. Anyway here are my answers :
  • Buy an island paradise.
  • Build my dream castle on this island.
  • Buy a personal jet. (hey, you did say unlimited budget didn't you? LOL!)
  • Buy a fleet of sports cars to race on my island paradise.
  • Buy Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and disband them. ROTFL!
There, how simple was that :) And now I'm going to tag Nessa, Diamond & Adrian to do this really really really simple tag :)
.

Happy Anniversary babe :)

You know what, today, the 24th of November, a very long time ago was when Mrs Spiff and me first came to know that we existed in this world. Of cos back then we didn't know we'd ever end up being together. And I'm glad and happy to say that that was the best day of my entire life :)

And you know how we spend it? By blogging the night away ... LOL! Actually we wanted to head out for supper to celebrate but after watching our favourite show Vegas, we were too lazy to get changed and go out for supper. In the end we ended up blogging ... hehehe ... she's actually sitting next to me right now using the laptop doing one of her postings and me with the desktop doing my posting :D

Honey, if you do check into my blog later, I wanna say I love you from the bottom of my fat belly ... hehehe ... and being with you all these years has been a dream come true :) I know this sounds real cheesy and besides I stole this from Jerry Mcguire but you complete me! Here's looking forward to many more years of bliss :)

Actually I am getting a little hungry. I just might take her for that supper after all, but not until I finish my assignment on addiction treatment and then if I'm still hungry, which I'm sure I will definitely still be, we'll both go supper hunting. Ok, ok, I know I'm supposed to be on a diet but it's like the anniversary of the first time Mrs. Spiff and me ever knew each other so that gives me reason enough to pig out, k!

Nothing But Dreams ...

The other day I wrote about my dream road trip. A dream because I know I'll never be able to afford it, that's for sure. And truthfully I can't stop thinking about it. I mean, it would really be a cool idea to travel through Europe by a car.

Europe has always fascinated me with it's culture and heritage and not forgetting it's delicious and mouth watering food :) Yes, yes, I love food too ... LOL! Sometimes I wonder why I wasn't born in some European country. And god, in my next life (depending if there is such thing as reincarnation), I want to be born in some nice European countryside, ok? And I don't mean as a cow, k? LOL!

I don't have anything about being born here, where else can we find food at 3.00am in the morning anywhere else in the world if you're hungry but here at home. It's just that I've always been fascinated by Europe. I especially love all those small little country side villages with their small, friendly and quaint community where everyone knows everyone. You know the kinds of small towns I'm talking about right? The ones with the flowing country side, beautiful fishing lakes, etc,etc ...

There are also a lot of other places in Europe that I'd love to see, which so far I've only read about or just seen on TV, such as the Sistene Chapel, the Vatican and the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Piazza San Marco, St Marks Basilica, the Leornado da Vinci Museum, just to name a few. So many places to visit, so little money ... LOL!

Well, if I ever do find the money to go visit all these beautiful places, I'm sure I can find loads of accommodation to stay in. I'll probably do an online search on Italy hotels, Rome hotels, Venice hotels, Milan hotels and find the best deals possible. Hmm, better yet, maybe I'll go ask my mom if we do have any relatives living in Europe that I can stay with, that would save me loads of cash :D

That Cool Breezy Feeling ...

I'm actually on the lookout for a new ceiling fan. The one in my room is totally dead. In fact it has been for quote sometime. Just been too lazy to go get it fixed. I really can't remember how long I've had that fan but I think it's been around for about 1o years now, so I'd say it's served its purpose, not to mention life span ... LOL!

Anyway, I looked in the newspapers for some ads on ceiling fans. You'd think there would be a lot of ceiling fans ads in the papers, right? Well, wrong! I flipped through every page and came up with zilch! I found that pretty weird though. Isn't ceiling fans sold anymore? Is everyone so dependent on air conditioning that they've stop selling fans? I hope not though.

Seeing as how I couldn't find anything in the newspapers, I decided to go online for a search. Oh boy, that was a mistake. The search results came back by the thousands. Now I have too much information. LOL!

Well, I zeroed into a few companies and I found this particular one pretty interesting. It's called Farreys.com and they have thousands (yes thousands!) of unique ceiling fans and ceiling fan accessories from more than a dozen popular manufacturers on offer!

Once you login into their site, you can easily shop for ceiling fans by style or by brand. And trust me, the have some pretty fancy brand names such as hunter ceiling fans, which at first I though was maybe for those interested in big game hunting ... LOL! Then there's the fanimation ceiling fans, which sounded like something out of a cartoon series. Fanimation? Animation? Get it? No? ...urrrmmm ... never mind. LOL! Well, with their ceiling fan customization system, it was a breeze ordering the kind that suited my character and needs.

Now hopefully the wife likes the one I ordered :D

Weekend Fun ...

Yahoo! Friday's here and I'm always cheerful when it comes to Friday's ... LOL! I wish everyday was a Friday then it would always be the last day of work, some sort of loop effect, that space time continuum thingy, you know Groundhog Day and all that. Ok, ok, I'll wake up already ... hehehe ...

But there still is about 9 hours to before I'm officially off work and that's a long way to go. I'm going to be busy this weekend, not with work mind, but with fun stuff to do (and I don't mean blogging ... LOL). I'm taking the kids out to the water park tomorrow morning and I know I'm going to be enjoying it right along with them ... I love playing around in water :D

My younger boy was so enthusiastic about it that when we went grocery shopping a few days back, he even got himself a pair of goggles ... hehehe ... and he can't stop reminding me about going to the water park tomorrow. Well, I told him I'm not sure if we are going or not just yet, cos in case we don't go he's going to create a riot in the house. I've actually made up my mind to go, just that I haven't told him yet ... hehehe ...

Can't wait to get off work, besides it being Friday, I've also got a couple of my favourite shows to catch on TV, well two actually. One is the local singing reality show called 'One in a million', you can read more about it on Nessa's blog. She can explain this better than I can and the other is my all time favorite Vegas, a show about the going ons in a Las Vegas hotel. When it was first aired, I didn't really like it all that much but it grew on me and now I can't miss a single episode!

Ok folks, I'm going to wish you all a great weekend ahead and since I'm a little free at work right now, I'm going to go blog hopping ... LOL!

Wish List.

This year Mrs. Spiff and me are making up a wish list of what we want for Christmas. We always have problems about what to buy for each other. So the wish list idea is actually a good one. I seriously hope she has a pair of nice sexy women's lingerie somewhere on that list ... LOL!

I mean, wouldn't that be an awesome gift? What better way to spend Christmas, than after she unwraps her present, I unwrap her ... LOL! Ok, ok, I'm getting a bit too descriptive here :D But seriously though. I always have problems getting gifts for anyone. I always have this fear that people don't really like any of the gifts I get them. I know everyone says it's the thought that counts but who knows what people think.

This year I've got quite a huge bit of presents to get. My wife, my kids, my buddy's daughter, my buddy and wife, my other buddy and wife, my cousins kids, oh man, I think I'm going to have to take out a bank loan just to buy all the gifts.

'boss, you need me to work overtime, ah? What do you mean I don't get overtime pay?'

Drats, there goes one idea. I wonder if McDonald's need any staff ... LOL! But seriously though, gift giving is getting to be more expensive every single year. Sometimes I think it's come to a point where gift giving is like some kind of must do thing or else you'd look like a cheapskate or something.

But knowing me, I'll probably get all the gifts at the last minute as usual. I tend to always do. There were times when I'd even get the gift just before attending whatever function I was going to attend. That's how lazy I am. This year I think I'll at least try to get all the gifts bought and wrapped by December 23rd the latest, I promise ... LOL!

My Road Trip.

I love the country side, well, not really the country side in my own country though. It's the ones that I watch on TV about the country sides of Europe. I can always picture myself driving around Europe with an open top convertible, the warm sunshine and wind flowing against my face.

I've always loved Europe ever since I was kid and I still have this desire to visit at least some of the countries there before I leave this earth and head back to planet Zork! Maybe I should save some money, buy myself an convertible, get an international driving license, take a sabbatical from work and plan a nice road trip through Europe.

But I seriously wouldn't know where to begin. The amount of places and things there are in Europe to see and visit, it would simply take me a whole year just to get through half of them. I guess I could start with nice country side drive through Berlin, find some nice hotels in Berlin and stay for a day or two, check out the Berlin wall or what's left of it anyway.

My next port of call would then be the city of Paris. There are so many things I'd love to actually see in Paris, like the Eiffel Tower or the Champs-Elyse but I've always wanted to sit in some alfresco setting in the heart of Paris sipping some wine and watching those French women go by ... LOL! (Ok, honey, no watching the French women go by). I know it's probably a costly affair heading out to France, but I'm sure I could find some reasonable hotels in Paris to stay in that will be within my budget.

Then my next probable location would be London to visit my favourite football club, Arsenal. Besides it would be a thrill getting to ride in The Channel Tunnel. It'll probably be an experience to remember :) Once I reach London, I could rent a car and drive through the beautiful country side they have over there, stopping at some small little country village, ordering a nice plate of fish and chips, washing it all down with a cool mug of beer and watching the local village girls go by. (Ok, ok, no village girls too honey ... LOL). Once again finding hotels in London should be too much of a problem as there are tons of online info on where to stay in London. Who knows maybe I could convince someone from one those lovely little country side villages to take me in for a day or two. Wouldn't that just be awesome :)

One more place I would like to drive through would be the city of Barcelona. I've seen pictures of their lovely countryside that I simply cannot not go here. I might even ditch the car and get an MTB and cycle through the various mountain bike trails that they have here. What better way is there to enjoy the country side of Barcelona. Then once I'm all cycled out, I could head on and visit all the beautiful architecture on hand like the magnificent La Sagrada Familia cathedral. With the amount of exquisite and grandiose architectural buildings and structures they have here in Barcelona, I'm definitely going to have to find some hotels in Barcelona to stay in for a few days at the very least. Maybe even catch some of those tanned Barcelona babes at one of those bull fight sessions or something ... (urmmm, ok honey, no Barcelona babes too .... sigghhhh ... LOL!)

Whoa, I think I'm going to need a huge sum of money before I can even realise a small portion of this road trip dream. Unless of course some nice kind soul is willing to sponsor me for the trip? Any takers? Please, please pretty please? LOL!

Gryffindor, That's Me ...

Nessa of Mumblings sent me an invitation to take the Hogwarts quiz. Before I begin, let me tell you I'm no Harry Potter fan but I'll just play along and see the results to this test. And boy, am I surprised by the answer ... LOL!

But being a conceited Spaceman, I think it suits me just fine :D Well, here's the results. Thanks for the tag Nessa and I'm glad I did it cos I like th results even though it might not be true.

'what do you mean it might not true? it is so true!'

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

And in return, I tag Menopause Princess to take this quiz. Sorry, MP but I haven't tagged you in a long while now ... LOL!
.

The Fight ...

Both my wife and me are trying to work on a few assignments (wife is actually blog hopping) and we can hear both the boys arguing in their rooms. It's already their bedtime and they do this every night without fail. They always have something new to argue about before sleeping every single night. Today it's about the sheets. Why and how they started an argument about bedsheets, I really have no idea. I'll find out soon enough though cos Mrs. Spiff has just gone out to give them a piece of her mind!

With the two of them this has become a routine. I've never heard of a night they went to sleep without kicking up a ruckus. And every night, Mrs. Spiff has to go and threaten them with bodily harm before they quieten down. I'm beginning to think that they probably can't fall asleep if they don't fight and get scolded by mommy. It's probably like a sleeping pill or something for them ... LOL!

I'm an only child and even though I lived with a bunch of cousins while growing, we never went through this argument routine before sleeping. We'd all just head to bed and fall asleep like the good (yeah right) little children we were ... LOL! Besides, I've always loved sleeping and bedtime was a favourite of mine :D

Well, it looks like the kids have already quietened down after the sounding they just got from wifey. Now I can get back to concentrating on the assignment about equestrian riding apparel that I was working on earlier before the ruckus started and get it competed before I fall asleep cos my eyes are getting rather heavy ...

Planning For The Holidays.

It's only the second day of the school holidays and my youngest boy is already pestering me to take him somewhere for the holidays. And I have absolutely no idea where to take the boys. I mean I still have to work and can't really take any leave at the moment cos my boss has flown to Japan for the holidays and when she's not around, I'm left to take charge of the office. Man, I hate responsibility!

Anyway next week I promised the younger boy that I'll take them to the water park. They just love splashing around in the water and to be honest, so do I. I love the water slides and and gleefully join the boys waiting in line together to slide down with them whenever we're there ... LOL!

But what I'd really like to do is travel away from this country, somewhere overseas or something but that's going to cost a lot of money and furthermore I don't know where to go. I mean I don't want to actually travel somewhere far away and not know what to do or what places to visit. I could always join those tour groups but they're always in such a rush and you don't really enjoy. I like traveling at my own pace and schedule.

That's why this travel guide site I came across is going to be really helpful to me in planning for a vacation overseas with my family. It's called Real Travel and is basically a guide and trip planner that has lots of advice and information from people who who have traveled the world. With the experience and reviews from these travels I could use the information they provide to plan the perfect vacation without spending to much money.

And the best part about Real Travel is once I'm back from my trip, I can share my experiences on my holiday by creating a free travel blog on their site and maybe help someone else plan for a vacation :) I'm seriously going to consider checking out this site even more and see if I could really get a great deal of information before I make plans to take the family somewhere for the holidays.

But until I actually make those plans, the first trip I'm going will be next week to the water park. I think I'll give my buddy the Genie King a call and see if he'd like to come along with his family. I know his little girl just loves the water :)

The Season For Spending Money.

The school holidays are finally here and my wife is feeling bitter sweet about it. Bitter cos both the boys will be home and when they're together, they're worse than a herd of stampeding elephants (LOL), and sweet cos she doesn't need to get up so early in the morning to prepare their breakfast before school, hence the bitter sweet feeling :D

As for me, I'm more concerned about when they start school next year. I know it's still a long way to go, almost 7 weeks but I've just seen the list of stuff they need for school. Their school fees alone are going to cost a bomb, not forgetting the uniforms and stuff. The Christmas season is also coming up and there'll be lots of presents and stuff to buy. Not forgetting that my house plays host for the Christmas dinner this year.

Looks like I'm going to be needing to start printing some money soon ... LOL! Actually I seriously think I need to open a checking account soon. Seeing as how I'm going to have be making loads of payments for things soon and I don't really want to handle such big sums of money, a checking account is the way to go. I could use my credit card but some places are so old fashioned, they only except cash of cheques! Need to do some research on the best deals for checking accounts out there.

I read that Wamu a bank in the US offers free cheques with every checking account you open. That's pretty cool cos I think most banks here charge you a fee for a certain number of cheques. I'm not really sure but I'll definitely do some checking (pun intended, LOL) before opening a checking account.

Clueless Client ...

Ah, it's been a thoroughly busy day and to top it all off, I have clients who just gets on my nerves and are totally clueless!!! I just got back from a meeting where I almost strangled my client for her lack of brains!!! Arggghhhh, I'm still seething from the encounter. I think I need to go for a nice long run after work to release the stress.

I have this client (one of my regulars) who called me on Monday and said they needed a company profile done real FAST and that they need it today. First of all, they give me 2 whole days to come up with a concept for them, then they provide me with absolutely next to nothing in information and they harp on the fact that I have a whole 2 days to get it done. Why thank you very much. Whoopee ...

But then, working under stress is my forte ... hehehe ... In fact the 2 days was plenty enough time to get it done, I even procrastinated and waited until yesterday to get it done ... hehehe ... Ok, never mind, I managed to get it done, wrote the blooming copy myself, came up with the concept myself and got everything ready for my presentation to them this afternoon.

So, there I went, drove all the way to their place which was kinda far, then had to wait for them, they were late, which is always normal and then during the presentation they say, that's not really what we wanted. We actually wanted something more in the line of a marketing kit!

'WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU SAY SO IN THE FIRST PLACE.'

And then they have the cheek to tell me that they thought I knew what they wanted when they called on Monday to brief me. Oh yeah, I'm a mind reader, didn't they know that? I can tell what people need even before they open their mouths. Idiots! That's what they are. Which part of Company Profile sounds like Marketing Kit? If they wanted a Marketing Kit, they should have just said so, and not tell me to work on a Company Profile and when I start my presentation, they say that's not what we wanted.

Trust me, I was on the verge of climbing on the conference table and reaching out to strangle that woman! Actually there were 5 of them, the others were okay. It was only with this good for nothing Senior Manager of Marketing who thinks I'm clairvoyant or something. What a waste of 2 days last minute hard (well, not really) work. I'm still so pent up with rage I'd kick something if I wasn't so afraid of pain that came along with it.

Thank god for blogs where I can scream my mind and heart out for the whole world to see ... LOL! Looks like it's going to be another busy couple of days for me to get that Marketing Kit done for them. Hopefully they don't say they actually needed an Annual Report this time. Hmmm, maybe I should do an Annual Report as well, just in case. But that would mean I have to go ask my boss to get an external hard drive cos I'm seriously running out of disc space seeing as how I have useless clients who make me do triple work and use up valuable storage space.

There, now I'm at peace with myself after venting my frustrations out. Hope you all had a good time reading it, somehow I doubt it ... LOL!

A Pair Of Tags.

Just when I thought I'd finally finished all my outstanding tags and memes and was looking forward to a nice mug of hot coffee, a siren goes off and my super duper Mac wanna be PC spits out a message saying that I've been tagged by none other than the Menopause Princess. Now why would she wanna do a thing like that to nice old me ... hehehe ...

I Hate Mondays!

Siggghhh, it's Monday again, how the weekend just flies right by. I can remember being ecstatic that it was a Friday evening and that the weekend was here but in the blink of an eye, I wake up and the dreaded Monday is here! I guess I shouldn't be complaining. I could have after all spent the weekend doing something more constructive than just blogging the weekend away.

'but blogging is constructive what!' (LOL)

Yes, I did just that the entire weekend. In fact both Mrs. Spiff and me did just that the whole weekend. It wasn't entirely wasted cos she did make quite a bit of online cash with her paid postings :) And she wasn't feeling too well some more.

By Sunday, I got so fed up of blogging that I switched of the PC and didn't even visit a single of my blog friends. That's what you get for staying up late all Friday and Saturday night blogging! I'm burnt out already, but not too burnt out to get online now and blog about it ... hehehe ...

Well, that's all from Spiff for today. I'll check in a little later. For now, I've got to go figure out how to do this paid assignment I just got that's called Branson Missouri! How I'm going to get that one done I have no idea cos the stuff I know Branson Missouri couldn't even fill a stamp!

You Got To Know When To Hold 'Em ...

You know I have always dreamed of owning my own Macintosh (no, no, not the raincoat thingy) but so far have to settle for just using the good old PC for various reasons. Being cheap and compatible with just about a few gadzillion free softwares out there is one big influence.

My love affair for a Macintosh goes back to my very first job I worked in. Back then, every Advertising agency (the big ones that is) had Macintosh's for their designers to work on. My company was a small local Ad agency and we did things the manual way. It was a while before we made some good money and got ourselves our first ever Mac. The moment I set my eyes upon it, I knew 'she' was the one for me ... LOL!

We could only afford one Mac so the head designer got exclusive use of it. The rest of us low downs got the useless windows 3.11 PC (yes, it was way back then). So, we'd only get to use the Mac when this guy was not around. We all envied him. The PC was nothing compared to the Mac and I still think the Mac is way more cool than the PC.

But to me, the only downside to using a Mac is the lack of software created for it. It used to be that to own a Mac, you'd have to only use their proprietary stuff, unlike the PC where there were a host of third party pirated apps ... urrmm ... I mean cheap apps for it. Even when it comes to some online gaming, you'd have problems with compatibility. I mean I like playing online poker, just for the fun of it (ok, ok, maybe sometimes a little betting is involved ... LOL) and I know for a fact that I couldn't find one that was playable on the Mac. That is until today :)

I happened to stumble across this site called Mac Poker online and they have just what any Mac poker playing owner could hope for ... hehehe ... This site offers an organized list of all the best online poker sites that you're able to play on the Mac. You can play for free or if you're interested in making (or losing) money, depends on how good you are, you can play for real at all of the sites offered on the list.

You can also checkout their reviews online on some of the sites and see if it is the site for you or not. Finding a trustworthy and reputable site for the Mac is no longer a hassle with Mac Poker Online. So if you're one of those Ad agency pukes working on your Macs and decide you need a break form the stress of designing to just gamble a little (did I even suggest that? How evil of me ... LOL!), then Mac Poker Online is the answer to your dreams.

As for you PC using fellows (like me) you guys can't claim you have all the best stuff for your silly old PC's now can you? LOL! Fortunately I'm not really into gambling and my current office uses a whole network of PC's, so it's of no use to me just yet!

The Lazy Bum.

I was happily blogging away today (ok, ok, I did nothing but blog and sleep today!) when wifey came upstairs, patted my stomach and said ...

'Honey, that tummy's looking a little big again, you're not going to sit here on your lazy little tush all day now are you?'

Urmmm, well, I was thinking of blogging the weekend away but of course I didn't tell her that. I look at my tummy and she does have a point. It is a tad bigger than it was last week. And it's all my fault. I've been neglecting my running and exercise (yup, I factored in an exercise session together with my running) the past 2 weeks or so! Not to make it sound like I'm making up excuse or anything but I have been busy and it has been raining and the aliens have invaded and the cow has jumped over the moon and the cat ran away with the dog. Ok, ok, I've been lazy, lazy and nothing but lazy.

See, now she's made me feel guilty for sitting here all day and staring at this monitor. But it rained again today and that does put a real damper on my running routine. Maybe I should invest in some strength equipment then maybe I wont have so many excuses not to work out when it rains. I really should start running more regularly again. There are some road races coming up and I'd sure like to be able to take part in at least one or two of them before the years end!

Ok, I resolve to get off my lazy tush and start running again tomorrow, come rain, shine, snow or sleet, I'll be hitting the roads with my trusty old well used dusty running shoes :) Actually I'm trying to get my beloved to start running with me. It can be really boring running on your own. At least with someone running alongside, we'll be able to motivate each other.

'What's that honey? your running shoes are old? with all the paid postings you do, you should be able to get some real expensive ones now ... LOL!'

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree ...

I just found out a few days back that my mom has so graciously offered my house as the place to have this years Christmas dinner for my family! Drats, drats and triple drats!!! I'm seriously not too keen on the idea but seeing as how she just agreed to it without consulting me on the matter, what can I do now? Siggghhhhh ....

You see, my side of the family has this tradition, well not really a tradition, where the family Christmas dinner is rotated between the each family. It's not that I'm against the idea but I hate the planning involved and the mess it brings ... It's not really such a big thing, only about 5 families including mine is involved.

The thing that irked me was nobody asked whether I had any plans this Christmas or not. Wifey and me planned to go somewhere for Christmas but now looks like we're going to have to scrap that plan. It wouldn't be nice to just let my mom do everything on her own, so I'll just have to stick around for it.

Worse yet, I'm going to have to get a new Christmas tree now. The old one looks like it's going to topple anytime soon. I've had that tree for ages and its served me well. Last year, wifey and me created a theme for Christmas where we only had blue and silver decorations on the tree and around the house.

That tree was already like going to disintegrate while we were setting it up. The stand for the tree was kinda broken so we 'planted' it in this flower pot from our garden then went around looking for some christmas tree skirts to wrap around the pot. We did find a nice huge one at this Christmas warehouse sale, and of course we also bought a lot more silver and blue themed stuff.

After decorating the tree, we thought it look okay, not great or anything. We didn't know there was this contest going on with the carolers to chose the best Christmas tree in the neighbour hood and I was shocked to learn much later after Christmas that we had won the best decorated Christmas tree in the neighbourhood ... hehehe ... That sure made my Christmas :)

I guess this year will be time to get a new tree seeing as how I'm going to need to defend my title ... hehehe ... I wonder what the theme will be like for this year. We have so many blue and silver decorations that I don't know what to do with it cos we can't use the same theme again now, can we? I'll think of something, hopefully we'll win again this year :)

But if you wanna see a really great Christmas tree, then you guys should check out the tree at my buddy, the Genie Kings house. My other buddy Seansy and me have unanimously agreed that he has the best Christmas tree in the whole City!
.

I'm Sweet As Candied Apples ...

I know Halloween has come and gone and everyone is talking about the upcoming Christmas celebrations (myself included) but I just have to post this award that was given to me by Nessa of Mumblings quite sometime back. I've been sitting on it as always, which is quick becoming a nasty trait of mine.

Well, Nessa presented me with the 'You're A Treat, As Sweet As Candied Apple' award though for the life of me I've never tried a candied apple (*hint, hint*) so I'm not really sure how sweet it really is but coming from Nessa, I'll take that as a great compliment :)

I think the award was meant for the Halloween period so I'm not really going to tag anyone with it. Thank your lucky stars folks ... hehehe ... I'm sure there will be loads of Christmas tags and awards coming soon and am so looking forward to getting them :D (Note the sarcasm there ... LOL!)

So, before I sign off, thanx again Nessa for the wonderful award and also for contributing in my quest to get more awards than that doofus Nick of Anything Goes! Just writing his name here makes me sick ... muahahahahahaha ...

Job Hunting ...

Boy, oh boy, someone in my office is gonna get the boot pretty soon. And thank god it's not me, well hopefully it's not me!

'Honest boss, I do my work, I only blog when I'm free ...' (LOL, yeah right Spiff!)

There is this person in my office who is kinda, I wouldn't say blur, but tends not to use too much of common sense when it comes to working (and it's not me okay, though I do have traits like that). She is always driving the powers that be up the wall. And the past few weeks she's been pretty good at it.

My boss has been pretty patient with her but recently she's been pissing my boss off everyday. Boss lady has been in a foul mood every morning when she comes in and I can hear her screaming at this person (yes, screaming!). I've been smart enough to stay out of my boss's way for the past week ... LOL!

I think today was the final straw for my boss. After some shouting outside at this girl, my boss barged into my room, and said ...

'Nick, I need you to place an Advert out for a new staff, cos she drives me up the wall!'

Before I can reply she starts to complain in one continuous sentence about what did person did to piss her off. I shall not get into the exact details here but I just nodded my head and said ...

'Ok boss, I'll get the advert out by Monday'

Man, was she fuming! I've seen my boss mad with people before and you really don't want her being mad with you! Not a nice feeling. She's a nice person but don't piss her off. I have before and I felt her wrath many times!

So, today I spent my morning filling out details online in one of those job recruitment agencies. When we look for staff over here, I'd normally opt for the online recruitment agencies rather that the newspapers. Shelf life for newspaper is way too short unlike the online ones that has a longer shelf life.

So, while browsing online I came across one site that has loads of jobs on offer. I'd have recommended it to that girl in my office but unfortunately, unless she's willing to relocate to London, then she's out of luck cos they're all about jobs in London ... (ok, ok I shouldn't be joking about stuff like this).

I got intrigued and checked out the site further (who knows maybe one day some nice Ad Agency in London just may hire me ... LOL!) and found out that they have a very comprehensive job database. It's so easy to search for all kinds of London jobs by just keying in the kind of job you're looking for in their search box and you're offered with a whole list of jobs to choose from. Hmmm, I wonder if Arsenal FC is looking for any new players to fill in Thierry Henry's place, I just might apply ... hehehe ... Not that I'm any good at football mind you.

I'd better get back to getting that vacancy advert done for my boss or before you know it, I'll be the one looking for a new job!

Fun In The Park.

This morning after our open house breakfast adventure, the wife and me took the kids to a nearby lake gardens for some outdoor fun. The weather was pretty cooling today cos it rained cats, dogs, elephants and a little kangaroos too the night before ... LOL! I actually didn't even realize it rained until wifey told me. I was totally knocked out for the night. Even woke up late for the open house thingy (which you can read all about it at that doofus Anything Goes blog!)

The weather was simply too beautiful to be spent cooped up indoors that's why wifey and me decided to head to the lake gardens (called Taman Jaya). The moment we reached the park, the kids ran out of the car and headed for the playground section leaving me and wifey to explore the park. I've been to this particular park many times before, I even used to run here with that louse the Genie King a few years back but the park has changed so much that I hardly recognize it. And don't get me wrong, it's changed for the better.

They really spruced up the place, put up some new hangout sections where you can just sit back and relax. New flowers, trees, etc, etc ... There was even a museum there but it was closed cos of the public holiday here. I really don't know what kind of museum it was but I'm surprised that it's even there cos I never noticed it all those years ago. Must be one of the new additions to the lake.

So, with the kids playing on the swings, slides and whatnots, wifey and me went around the park looking at the trees and flowers around the park. This park holds some special memories for wifey and me :) There were so many weird kinds of trees and plants here that we had a hard time figuring out what they were. Wifey liked one of the flowers found here that she wanted to pluck some of them and plant at home but I stopped her cos it was illegal to pluck anything from the park (didn't want to spend my holiday in jail now do I? LOL!) so she settled for taking a pix of it ...

Wifey also pointed out to this couple with their kids a few feet away from us who were collecting something form the ground. Me, being a busy body went to see what it was and discovered they were picking out this tiny red seeds (not sure what's it called) that had fallen from the trees. I got pretty excited when I saw it cos when I was a little boy, we had this tree in our yard and we'd collect the seeds when it fell, which was normally a alot, get mom to stitch 5 small pouches, fill it with the seeds and play this game called 5 stones, I think it's called Batu Seremban in malay. Much to the amusement of my wife, I joined that couple with their kids and started collecting the seeds for myself ... hehehe ... I collected quite a bit I must say :)

After about an hour here, we got the kids who were by this time enjoying themselves thoroughly on the swings and slides and whatever else they could climb on, and headed for home. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I know I sure did :)

Wine, Wine And More Wine ...

When I think of France I think of Thierry Henry, that traitorous ex-Arsenal player who ditched the team and headed to sunny Spain. Not that he's doing too well there, mid you ... LOL! Seriously though, when I think of Paris I think of fine wine, fashion, Jean Luc Picard and of course the Eiffel tower.

I don't really think I'd be able to fit in with the culture in France cos I've got no bloody culture myself. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't jump at the chance to visit France and sample some of that home grown wine first hand. Ok, ok, I love drinking wine, such a refined spaceman I am, aren't I? LOL.

But first I'd have to look up for some decent and cheap hotels in france to stay and I'm sure there is a lot of offer. I'm sure Mrs. Spiff would definitely tag along cos she's got this thing about wanting to visit the Paris Fashion week though for the life of me, I just don't know which week that will be on ... hehehe ...

Well, she can go see all the fashion in Paris that she wants, as for me once I find some hotels in paris for us to stay in, I'm going to go find myself a nice little restaurant that serves all kinds of wine and drink myself silly. Maybe not drink myself silly cos I'd love to visit the beaches and markets that I've read so much about in those Paris holiday brochures I have.

I think I'll just make this our second honeymoon and travel the whole of Europe. I heard they've got come pretty nice hotels and accommodations shouldn't be too much of a problem for us. With that out of the way, we can get down to some serious fun :)
.

Everybody Wants Kung-Fu Fighting ...

The silly technician that's supposed to fix the lighting problems in my office still hasn't arrived yet and I'm still sitting in the blooming darkness and typing this post which really is bad on my eyes cos the glare from my monitor is just way too strong. I hope he gets here soon!

I don't really have much to do today, finished all my work in the first half of the day and was actually just sitting here randomly browsing blog sites and web pages out of boredom (yawwwwnnnnn) and I came across this site selling self defense products. Browsing through the site sure brought back a lot of memories for me. They have a nice selection of products for the sport of self defense, some of which I've actually had the pleasure of wearing.

Back when I was in college, I used to be fanatical about martial arts. I was about 18 years old (yes, quite old already I know) when I first saw this martial arts exhibition in my college. It was for a promotion for Taekwondo classes and they were on a recruitment drive to get new students. I was kinda intrigued and decided to join.

Once I joined the class, there was no turning back. I was totally fanatical about it. I attended every possible class that was held at the college and then made close friends with the instructor and even followed him for his other classes. There was a time I just lived for martial arts and nothing more to the point my buddies though I was a little too crazy.

I simply couldn't get enough of it. Slowly I rose through the grades to a point where I was helping my instructor teach in some of his classes. At that time it was something I enjoyed doing. I went for training 7 days a week without fail, at every class my instructor taught I was there ... LOL!

There was a day when I reached a level of competence in the sport that my instructor actually allowed me to teach a whole class of kids on my own. No as his helper but as an instructor. I was overjoyed. I hadn't even reached the level of being a black belt (which is normally when you're competent enough to teach) and here my instructor gave me the honour of handling a whole class on my own. I cannot describe in words how I felt that day. Being an instructor to 7 year old kids, it was way cool, man ...LOL!

Then over time, the sport took a back seat cos I got my first job in the slave industry ... LOL! Well, I consider the advertising industry which I'm in a slave industry cos once you start work, they slave drive you like crazy! Because of work commitments I started to skip a lot of classes and eventually gave it up all together. I do regret in a way for not going further in a sport which I think I could have excelled in if I went all the way, but that's life I guess. Work and family commitments take precedence over everything else.

Thank god I still have my running (which I've been neglecting to do for quite a while now. Shame on you Spiff!!!). Well, look who we have here, the technician fellow is finally here, about 4 hours too late isn't he? I'd better post this now before he switches off the mains to fix whatever that's been screwing with the system!

I'm Simply Fabulous!

Last night, I logged on and did my usual blog walkabout at all my regular bloggers pages and when I came to Diamonds Sapphire's page, I was thrilled. There was an award waiting for me. She awarded me the 'I'm Fabulous Award'. Even though I've received this award before I'm still gonna blab and rave about it cos now I have an extra award, one more than that imbecile from Anything Goes! Muahahahaha ... Soon, I'm gonna have more than him and I'll be the popular one and not him ... Thanks Diamond so much for making my quest of upstaging that bum Nick come a whole lot closer ... hahahaha ...

Ok, ok, I know I'm a little crazy but hey, it's Monday, can you blame me? I hate Mondays and the sooner it's over, the better it is for me! Jokes aside though, it was really great to be consider for this award and I'm truly humbled by it. And since I've already awarded this to a few people the first time I received it, I'm not going to award this to anyone. I'm going to be selfish and keep it all for myself ... LOL!

(*cell phone ringing*)

That was Mrs. Spiff reminding me not to forget to find about about that dressing table she saw in the newspaper the other day. There was this cool looking one on sale, it had this huge makeup mirrors which is exactly what she's looking for. So, I'm gonna sign off here and call them to find out the details.

Let There Be Light!

Last night I was sitting in the living room and watching this movie called the Island, it was a pretty good show. The kids were already in bed seeing as how it's a school night and Mrs. Spiff was upstairs happily doing her paid postings so it was just me all by myself downstairs.

Normally after 8.30pm whenever we watch TV, we always switch of the main halls lights and switch on this floor up-lighter lamp that we bought from Ikea. That would be our only illumination besides the TV and it gives the place a nice romantic feel.

But yesterday I was thinking that maybe we'd need a few more of those kinds of lamps in the living room. I mean that was the only one we had in the hall and it'd be great to have a few more, maybe in different designs and different illumination. The shadows that up lighter threw on the wall was pretty soothing but kinda boring seeing as how it's always in the same place and always casting the same kind of illumination.

Having more of those kinds of lamps would definitely give the place a different mood everyday, seeing as how I could place the lamps in different corners of the living room and switch them on for different days :) So, having decided that that's what I would like to do, immediately after the movie (and of course after my wife finished with her postings) I logged on to do a little research on lamps and lamp shades for the living room.

What I came across astounded me. I'm really a blur case when it comes to decorating and coming up with ideas for the home (ask me to conceptualize an advert, now that would be easier ... hehehe) and the amount of lamps I found in this site called Farreys.com was simply phenomenal! They had thousands of lamps on offer such as table lamps, floor lamps, torchieres, piano lamps, reading lamps and lots more that I was practically getting dizzy just browsing through their selection.

The site was set up to be real simple to use (even for a doofus like me). You can browse through their selection by simply keying in the type of lamp you're looking for in their search tool which quickly helps you find that perfect lamp for any of your applications. And they have dozens and dozens of lamps from top manufacturers with a wide range of styles at the lowest prices for you to choose from. Now, how can you beat that :)

Well, I did shortlist a few last night that would suit exactly what I have in mind abut first I'm gonna have to sell my idea to my wife and see if she'll go for it. She doesn't know of my plan for a different lamp for a different mood idea yet ... hehehe ... It's gonna take some doing trying to convince her, cos she's even more difficult to convince than my clients .... LOL!

Cooking Experiment.

Today I experimented with cooking again (yes, yes, even a spaceman does his share of the cooking). Well, actually I went out grocery shopping with Mrs. Spiff and halfway through the shopping, I told her I wanted to try whipping up something for dinner for us. She agreed. Wifey has been very supportive of my ever increasing interest in cooking ... hehehe ... So, I gathered some stuff for what I had in mind and when we reached home, I started the process.

I actually have no idea what to call this cos I've never done anything like this before. So, I'll just call it the Microwave Pizza Bun! That's the only decent name I could come up with for it ... LOL! It wasn't really difficult to do, just took a little time preparing all the stuff.

It was a little bland, needed a wee bit more seasoning but overall it was pretty good. I got 2 thumbs up from Mrs. Spiff :) and the boys simply adored it. My younger boy gave me 10 out of 10 and my older boy gave me 100 out 10 ... woohoo ... I'm overjoyed. I think I'm beginning to enjoy these little cooking experiments :) Be on the lookout for more as I conjure up some crazy recipes in the future. Here's a short pictorial of the process and finished product.

The bun preparation ...

This part I didn't really like. I had to actually touch all that yucky uncooked chicken ... LOL!

The minced chicken marinated with salt, pepper and some herbs ...

The bun with the sausage, stir-fried chicken, spread with garlic and herbs and topped with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese ready for the microwave process ...

The final gooey pizza bun just out of the oven with the garlic & herbs spread soaking slightly into the bun to give it flavor ...

The only problem was today's connection was pretty buggy and it took me quite a while just upload all the pictures, maybe if I had one of those fancy schmancy fiber optic cables thingy's then maybe things would be so bad. But dedicated fiber optics cost money and until I become a millionaire I guess I'm gonna be stuck with sometimes buggy connections ... siggghhhh ...

Mr. Last Minute ...

I just realized something a few minutes ago. I don't have a tie to go with my suit for my buddy's wedding tomorrow. Well, not really. I do have some ties but they're all the kind that I use when I go to work (if I decide to use one that is) and none of them are actually suits the suit (hmmm, somehow that sentence didn't sound right ... LOL!) that I'm going to wear tomorrow.

It was my wife who pointed out that the ties I have won't complement the look. Actually she did mention this fact a week or so ago but me being the kinda of aloof person that I am didn't really take heed and today I tried to match the tie with the suit and she did have a point. I have no fashion sense remember. To me being fashionable means my favorite black Bermuda's and round necked T-shirts :)

Damn, looks like I'm going to have to go get one later tonight or something. My wife has always been telling me that I just love to leave things to the very last minute and you know what, she's right ... LOL! Even when it comes to work, I'll procrastinate and then rush to complete all my work. I really can't work any other way, if I have too much time to do things, I can't get creative. I think I thrive on stress ... LOL!

I guess after all my work is done today which is gonna be quite late cos I have some (yes, you guessed it) last minute work to be completed, but this time it's not my doing. It's my client's fault. They call me up and say they need some things done by tonight and I just can't say no to them, especially seeing as how they're pretty good paymasters :)

Well, once I'm done I'll have to go and look for a tie or else tomorrow I'm gonna look like a clown. Oh and this time I must remember to also buy some bathroom lights to replace the ones that blew last week. Yes, yes, I procrastinate as always :)
