Pictorial Sunday, Well, Sort Of Anyway ...
The picture you see below is of my mango tree which is finally getting its nice shady leaves again. That tree used to be really shady with a huge umbrella of leaves until my Neanderthal neighbour complained about the leaves falling in his bloody compound, and I got all the leaves trimmed to practically nothing, well, you can read the full story here in this post I did about my Neanderthal neighbour. I'm just so happy that the tree is growing again that I just had to share this picture with you guys :) This time I'm just gonna let the leaves grow and to hell with his complaints! Forgive the low quality shot. Taken from my room upstairs with my cell phone camera.
My Wife Neglects Me!!!
Of late my wife has been neglecting me, yes, you heard right, NEGLECTING me !!!! Me, the husband who adores the very ground she walks on. How could she even think of neglecting me? Me, the guy who would do anything for her! Me, the very Spaceman who'd move the earth and stars for her if she wanted me to. And there she goes and neglects me!!! Sigghhhh .... LOL!
Before you go jumping to any conclusions, it isn't all as bad as I've made it out to be .... hehehe ... you see, the wife has off late been totally intrigued with online games. She's been playing them online and even downloading them and playing them for hours to the point I'm left with nothing to do ... hehehe ... (I'm just kidding okay honey? I know you love these games, but you're gonna make it up to me over the weekend *hint,hint* ... LOL)
My wife is actually a PC game addict. And to be honest, so am I (though I've stopped playing for quite a while now cos I don't really have time to play games anymore). She can spend hours playings games like Sim City, Civilization, Caesar, The Sims, Sudden Strike, etc, etc. Yes, she's into war games like Sudden Strike, Rise of Nations and a few more that I've forgotten what they're called. And she's pretty good at it too. We used to hook up the desktop and laptop at home and play each other through a networked game and there were many times she completely kicked my butt in those war games :)
Right now, she's discovered this great online site at that has loads of those real time simulation kind of games like diner dash, flo's diner, urrmmm, some chocolate factory game and loads more that she's been playing them into the wee hours of the morning. I'd be long asleep by the time she's get into bed. And now she's bugging me to take her to this mall near our place cos she wants to get some of the full version of these games on CD ... LOL! Well, I'm going to be taking her to get some when I get back this evening and I'm sure she's gonna be engrossed in it all night and all weekend. Now you see why I say I'm neglected ... :D Hey, Genie King, you free ah this weekend? Maybe we can go paint the town purple, green, yellow or something (what's that honey? I'm too old to be painting the town purple or any other colour for that matter? Siggghhh .....).
The worst thing is I can't even blog or get online if she's playing her games cos our desktop system is kaput and she'll be hijacking the laptop all weekend ... hehehe ... I guess it's time to get that desktop sent to the shop and get it working again, don't you think? But then I guess I could just sleep the whole weekend away, say, now that's an idea ... hehehe ...
Anyway, folks, here's wishing you guys and gals are great weekend :) I'll let you guys know next week how I kept myself busy this weekend ... hehehe ...

My Desktop ...
I believe in coincidences! Just a few days ago I was telling my wife that I happen to see a new meme called What's on your desktop circulating around and I'll bet I would be tagged for it eventually ... LOL! (being a bit conceited here) and sure enough, as if by some supernatural magic, I was tagged for it by the one and only Genie Princess (who should still be bugging that Genie King for my wishes by the way!). Now is that a coincidence or what ... LOL!
Well, it looks and is really an easy and fun meme to do. At least by the time the meme gets around the blogsphere, we'll all have an idea how everyone's desktop looks like :D And since (as Marzie put it, Spiff is not as lazy as his alter-ego Nick) I actually got down to doing this one pretty fast :D
I like my desktop clean, don't really like to see any folders at all on my desktop. In fact, I have this fetish and fantasy to own a Mac one day. I'm no Mac fan but being in the advertising industry and seeing what a Mac can do, sure does stir up some strange hormonal changes in a man ... LOL! But I'm using a PC system for myself which is more compatible with all those pirated ... urrmm ... I mean cheap games I buy:)
So, since I don't own a mac, I've kinda modified my desktop to function like one. Ive removed the usual window's start bar and installed a task bar which is something you would see on a Macintosh. Changed all my icons to be as close to a Mac as it possible could imitate. (ok, ok, I should go get a mac already, but do you know how much those things cost?). As you can see, my desktop is pretty clean, just the taskbar at the bottom and nothing else. My wallpaper changes with my moods. Currently it's still in Transformers mode but I've got a few more such as Spawn, Hellboy, Spiderman, etc,etc ... yeah, yeah, I'm influenced a lot by comic characters :) And so, there you have it. That's what my desktop looks like ...
Well, Marzie was true to her word, it was a fairly simple meme to do and as always with meme's, I've got to tag a few others to carry on with the meme. Now, that's where I have a problem. I've been threatened with bodily harm by some of my bloggers about tagging them ... LOL ... so, I'm going to be careful with who I tag :D But before that, a word form our sponsors .... hehehe ... not really, here are the rules and stuff.

Lazy, Bored & Sleepy ...
It has been a slow boring day for me at the office. Managed to finish all my work in the first half of the day, well, in the first hour of work to be exact. Then had absolutely nothing to do whatsoever. Wanted to blog surf but my fingers weren't up to it. Too lazy ... LOL! Can you imagine that? Me, too lazy to blog surf! Fat chance of that happening ... hehehe ... I did visit all my regular blogs this morning though. Then got fed up of blogging, so I did some cleaning up in my room.
My office table has been pretty messy the past week or so cos I didn't have time to keep all my stuff away. I'm pretty much a cleanliness freak and my office table is seldom messy and keeping it messy for a week or so was just so not me. Anyway, the cleaning didn't take very long. Got bored again pretty fast so I decided to bum off early for lunch.
Besides, the wife is down with flu and fever and she was longing for some grapes, so I wasn't really bumming off early, I was doing a good deed by buying the poor sick wife some grapes ... LOL! (justify it anyway you want Spiff, it's still bumming off!). Anyway I got the grapes for her from our regular small time vegetable shop across the road from my house. It's sort of a mini market specialising in fresh food and vegetables. Kinda steep pricing but it was so much more convenient going there than the hypermart (which menopause princess feels I can feed the whole family for 5 bucks ... how I wish ... LOL!).
Well, after bumming off ... urrmmm, I mean lunch and stuff, I'm back at the office with absolutely nothing to do again and after a quick blog surf session, I'm back to square one with the boredom thing. Even my good buddy is missing in action, well, not really but he doesn't seem to be online, maybe I'll call him and bug him instead ... LOL!
Anyway, I'm just sleepily counting the hours till it's time to go home and that's about 4 hours away ... groannnnn ... This job sure does have it boring moments and then sometimes it's just pure chaos! Given a choice, I'd take the pure chaos anytime (I know, I know, that's a silly choice) but I kinda thrive on deadlines and chaos ... LOL! Better than sitting here and fighting hard to keep my eyes open.
I'm wondering what's for dinner tonight. I don't think my wife is going to cook anything, what with her not feeling well and all, besides, I wouldn't want her to cook anyway. I guess either I'll pack some dinner on the way home or just go home and experiment with something myself. I've taken a little interest in trying to cook (I'm a hopeless cook, I can even screw up boiling water, trust me) but have been doing some experimenting with some recipes, of course with the wife's supervision. She doesn't trust me one bit in her kitchen for too long ... LOL!
Ok, that's all from Spiff for now, my eyes are so bloody heavy, I think I'm going to find some quiet place to take a power nap for a bit ... hopefully the boss doesn't come in ... hehehe ....Great Tuesday to all you guys and gals and to my Chinese blog buddies, Happy Mid Autumn Festival :D Do send some moon cakes my way, ya ... I Love Friday's ...
Ah, it's Friday :) I love Friday's, simply because tomorrow is Saturday (Nick- 'urmm, Spiff, I think everyone know's that'). In two hours time I'm out of here. Even us Spacemen types need our breaks. Zooming around the galaxy is tough work you know!
Actually I'm going to get some stuff from the hypermart later tonight. My buddy, the Genie King, his family, our other good buddy and his future wife and me and my family are gonna have a barbecue at the Genie King's house tomorrow. We've been wanting to do this for ages but never really got down to it. Well, it's mostly my fault cos I couldn't confirm when I was free for a barbecue session. Sorry guys. Anyway, we've planned for this Saturday and I volunteered to bring the food.
I am so looking forward to it and hopefully it doesn't rain or anything to spoil our barbecue. Maybe I'll do a naked rain dance or something tomorrow morning to appease the rain gods. LOL! Anyway it's so hot out there today that I doubt it'll rain tomorrow, unless of course I go wash and wax my car, then it's sure to rain cats, dogs, hippo's and kangaroos ... LOL! Seriously, it never fails to rain after I wash and wax my car. The rain gods just love to taunt me! Wait till I get my paws on them.

He's the only one of us who has never moved homes since our college days and we always make his house our central meeting and hang out place. Besides it's nicer to mess up someone else's house ... The Fraudulent Genie!
Instead of bugging the hell out of the Genie King to get my simple wish of wanting US1 billion dollars, Marzie aka the Genie Princess tagged me to do this blog meme created by Liz of Successful Blog which is to write a story instead. Gee, thanks Genie Princess ... LOL! I'll let you off this time only if you promise me to go and harass that no good Genie King and get my wish granted soon, what's more, I'll split some of the loot with you even ... LOL! Well, maybe an itsy bitsy teeny weeny percentage of anyway ... :D

The road passed three creatures - each of them was more interesting than the next. The first was ................ The second was ................ The third was ................ Our brave and quirky hero ran the rest of the way, and when he got there, he got another surprise!

“I was ..............., when out of the blue ................” our brave and quirky hero said, knees shaking. “Could you spare ...............?”

An now on to my story.
Title: The Fraudulent Genie!
Spiff, The Spaceman (who is also the brave quirky hero in this story ... LOL) was as usual gazing in to the abyss, when suddenly out of the blue, he hears some weird mumblings. Being the inquisitive spaceman that he is, he walks over towards the sound. Quietly sneaking up behind a huge rock, Spiff peeks over to locate the source of the weird mumblings. There in the huge open field, he catches the Genie King muttering to himself. Now, you might thing this is strange, but after staying a day in the zone, such things happen all the time.
Our brave and quirky hero knew exactly what to do - Since the Genie King owed him two wishes (yes, two, I'm also gonna collect Nick's wish for him), he slid all the way down to confront the Genie King! But our brave and quirky hero had no chance in hell, cos the Genie saw him coming and said, 'oh, oh, time to make my sweet escape' and disappeared in a puff of smoke! 'Damn', Spiff cursed. 'That no good louse!'
Seeking help for this dilemma, our hero headed down the road to Christy's Coffee Break thinking maybe he could get some help there cos he knew that loads of people were looking for the Genie King, seeing as how he owes them tons of wishes and they'd all be hanging out there at this time of the day.
So, jumping on his trusty hi-tech Hover 3000ZXL thingamajig, he scoots down the road. About a mile into his journey, the road passes three creatures - each of them was more interesting than the next. The first was The Imaginary Diva. The second was a Brainy Bimbo. The third was a Menopause Princess. 'Gee, what kind of weird creatures are these?', thinks Spiff. An Imaginary Dive, a Brainy Bimbo and a Menopause Princess, what an unlikely trio. Spiff asks them if they've seen that no good Genie King fellow. They answer him in unison, 'what's it to you?' Spiff is no mood for games and he says, 'look you creature women, don't give me no lip, k? I'm not in the mood!' That was really the wrong thing to say cos the very next minute all 3 creature women gang up on Spiff and smacks him silly!
Screaming and running for his life, leaving his trusty hi-tech Hover 3000ZXL thingamajig behind, our brave and quirky hero ran the rest of the way to Christy's Coffee break hoping for better luck there, and when he got there, he got another surprise!
“Seiche!” our hero exclaimed. 'What are you doing here? I thought you signed up for the Zorkian fleet? What's the matter, can't cut it in space?' Seiche just ignores Spiff knowing how annoying that little pesky spaceman can be at times. But being the little pesky annoying spaceman that he is, Spiff asks Seiche if he has seen the Genie King?
'Oh, that fraud, huh, well everyone and his mother is itching for a piece of his hide, especially the Genie Buddy', Seiche answered. 'Last I heard he fleeced her of her gambling wins and she's one mighty mad woman! And I'd be hiding out too if I knew SHE was on my tail'
'I was about to nab the bum a little while ago', said spiff, 'when out of the blue he pulled a quick disappearing act and vanished.' our brave and quirky hero said, knees shaking horribly and panting from his quick getaway from the 3 creature women. 'Could you spare me this sob story and get a Reality Check! cos you ain't never gonna catch that smooth operating Genie!' says Seiche with a smirk on his face.
But our quirky hero wasn't one to give up so easily. 'Maybe I'll go harass that Genie Princess and get her to grant my wishes, afterall she was in cahoots with that Genie King fellow from the start', thought Spiff. 'Besides, they did spend 1000 years together in prison and she probably knew all his conniving little ways.'
And so it passed that the Genie Princess fearing that the little pesky annoying Spiff would not stop annoying the life out of her, she gave our brave and quirky hero another 3 wishes as a bonus AND promised to annoy the Genie King until he grants Spiff the US1 Billion as well getting Nick's expensive pair of running shoes and all was well. For the moment. Because with that little pesky annoying Spaceman, you can never tell!
You might think this is strange, but in the kingdom of Anything Goes! such things happen all the time. Or so they tell me ...

An now on to my story.
Title: The Fraudulent Genie!
Spiff, The Spaceman (who is also the brave quirky hero in this story ... LOL) was as usual gazing in to the abyss, when suddenly out of the blue, he hears some weird mumblings. Being the inquisitive spaceman that he is, he walks over towards the sound. Quietly sneaking up behind a huge rock, Spiff peeks over to locate the source of the weird mumblings. There in the huge open field, he catches the Genie King muttering to himself. Now, you might thing this is strange, but after staying a day in the zone, such things happen all the time.
Our brave and quirky hero knew exactly what to do - Since the Genie King owed him two wishes (yes, two, I'm also gonna collect Nick's wish for him), he slid all the way down to confront the Genie King! But our brave and quirky hero had no chance in hell, cos the Genie saw him coming and said, 'oh, oh, time to make my sweet escape' and disappeared in a puff of smoke! 'Damn', Spiff cursed. 'That no good louse!'
Seeking help for this dilemma, our hero headed down the road to Christy's Coffee Break thinking maybe he could get some help there cos he knew that loads of people were looking for the Genie King, seeing as how he owes them tons of wishes and they'd all be hanging out there at this time of the day.
So, jumping on his trusty hi-tech Hover 3000ZXL thingamajig, he scoots down the road. About a mile into his journey, the road passes three creatures - each of them was more interesting than the next. The first was The Imaginary Diva. The second was a Brainy Bimbo. The third was a Menopause Princess. 'Gee, what kind of weird creatures are these?', thinks Spiff. An Imaginary Dive, a Brainy Bimbo and a Menopause Princess, what an unlikely trio. Spiff asks them if they've seen that no good Genie King fellow. They answer him in unison, 'what's it to you?' Spiff is no mood for games and he says, 'look you creature women, don't give me no lip, k? I'm not in the mood!' That was really the wrong thing to say cos the very next minute all 3 creature women gang up on Spiff and smacks him silly!
Screaming and running for his life, leaving his trusty hi-tech Hover 3000ZXL thingamajig behind, our brave and quirky hero ran the rest of the way to Christy's Coffee break hoping for better luck there, and when he got there, he got another surprise!
“Seiche!” our hero exclaimed. 'What are you doing here? I thought you signed up for the Zorkian fleet? What's the matter, can't cut it in space?' Seiche just ignores Spiff knowing how annoying that little pesky spaceman can be at times. But being the little pesky annoying spaceman that he is, Spiff asks Seiche if he has seen the Genie King?
'Oh, that fraud, huh, well everyone and his mother is itching for a piece of his hide, especially the Genie Buddy', Seiche answered. 'Last I heard he fleeced her of her gambling wins and she's one mighty mad woman! And I'd be hiding out too if I knew SHE was on my tail'
'I was about to nab the bum a little while ago', said spiff, 'when out of the blue he pulled a quick disappearing act and vanished.' our brave and quirky hero said, knees shaking horribly and panting from his quick getaway from the 3 creature women. 'Could you spare me this sob story and get a Reality Check! cos you ain't never gonna catch that smooth operating Genie!' says Seiche with a smirk on his face.
But our quirky hero wasn't one to give up so easily. 'Maybe I'll go harass that Genie Princess and get her to grant my wishes, afterall she was in cahoots with that Genie King fellow from the start', thought Spiff. 'Besides, they did spend 1000 years together in prison and she probably knew all his conniving little ways.'
And so it passed that the Genie Princess fearing that the little pesky annoying Spiff would not stop annoying the life out of her, she gave our brave and quirky hero another 3 wishes as a bonus AND promised to annoy the Genie King until he grants Spiff the US1 Billion as well getting Nick's expensive pair of running shoes and all was well. For the moment. Because with that little pesky annoying Spaceman, you can never tell!
You might think this is strange, but in the kingdom of Anything Goes! such things happen all the time. Or so they tell me ...

We'll Miss You Colin!
Today, Spiff will be taking time off from his usual comedic character and dedicating this post to Colin McRae who passed away yesterday. Death comes so sudden at times.Colin McRae, for those not in the know is the first Briton to win the World Rally Championship in 1995. And as far as I'm concerned one of the world's best rally driver. He died yesterday in a helicopter crash along with his 5 year old son and 2 other family friends.
I feel strongly about his death. I've actually had the opportunity to see him in person a few years ago, when he came to Malaysia for the Malaysian Rally Championships. It was a joy watching him drive.
I was home yesterday reading the newspaper during lunch and saw the article on his death and was stunned. I immediately text my other best buddy, who is a rally enthusiast himself and used to race once long ago to tell him the news. He felt the same way as I did about Colin's death.
And so, I take this time to send his family my condolences and may he rest in peace. The world of rallying will never be the same without this talented man who was fearless, flamboyant and blindingly quick in the car.
Rest in peace Colin.
BlogRush, The New Craze In Town!
I've been reading on a few bloggers site about this new craze called Blogrush and decided to try it out. I'm not sure if it's going to help me get more traffic and hence more money but I'm game to try it out anyway :D Apparently it's supposed to boost traffic and the idea that a simple widget can boost traffic sounds great to me! Well, don't believe what I write, go ahead an check it our for yourself here.

The Fishy Tale ...
Yesterday, the wife and me went grocery shopping when I got back from work, urrmm, I mean when I got back from my planetary exploration :) As usual we went to our regular friendly neighborhood hypermarket. I just love going there cos it's pretty close to my house, don't have to brave any traffic and such.
My wife didn't cook dinner cos we decided to have dinner at the mall and we thought we'd pack some food back for my mom later (she wasn't in anyway). Now this hypermarket is pretty neat, they sell cooked food inside as well for takeaways. The food is pretty good, not really fine dining but palatable. I decided to get some fish curry for my mom cos my mom is not too keen on red meat and stuff.
I packed this generous amount of asam pedas fish curry (literally translated, spicy & sour fish curry) for her, When I say generous, I mean generous. This included a nice chuck of mouth watering stingray fish, loads of ladies fingers, tomatoes and the curry itself. Then I headed to the cashier to pay for it and he scanned it and said it cost 50 cents! I looked at him in disbelief and ask him again in a slightly bewildered voice ' how much did you say that was?' He looked at me and said '50 cents, sir'.
Ok, something like this happened to me a while back at another hypermart, where I bought some longans for almost dirt free price and didn't want to look like a silly fool again, so I called the wife and asked her to ask the cashier again how much the fish curry cost. And the guy said, '50 cents, maam. we're having an offer now'. That was a pleasant surprise cos I expected it to cost at least RM3.00! I was smiling from ear to ear :D How often can you buy food for 50 cents nowadays?
With the price of everything and the kitchen sick rising, paying 50 cents for a generous amount of fish curry seemed like heaven sent. If I hadn't already had my dinner, I would have definitely bought more stuff from there cos even the other dishes they had on hand was on special offer.
Now I know why this hypermarket is the favourite of both the wife and me. And that brings me to another post about my Saturday 'date' with my beloved wife, but that's another story to tell which I will post a little later on Anything Goes! Have a great weekend folks, I know my weekend is already a great one :)

What a nice way to end the week for me, there I was just walking around on this unknown planet this morning and what a surprise it was for me to see an award stuck on the planets surface. Seeing as how there really wasn't anyone else around, I presume it was for me and that tiny note attached to the back of the award confirmed it :) Hmmm, how could that Genie King have know that I'd be gallivanting way across the universe? Then again, he is a Genie King after all, isn't he? (though I'd have preferred that billion dollars I asked for).But it was such a nice gesture by him anyway :) And since I'm bloody free in the office right now and don't really have any planets to invade at the moment, I thought I'd proudly display my award here.
The award I got from Genie King is the I'm Fabulous Award! Gee, I really didn't know that I was fabulous ... hehehe ... unfortunately he had to also go and give it to that Nick character ... sigghhh .... In return I'm gonna award this to a few fellow bloggers who have been constantly supporting my new blog :) Thanx a bunch people. Your support means a lot to me ...

Making Money!
I've been reading on a lot of blogs about Pay Per Post and I'd like like to get on the band wagon myself seeing as how I do write a lot of rubbish most of the time so why not get paid for it, rite? LOL! Unfortunately, my blog isn't 'old' enough yet. I'm told this blog has got to be at least 3 months in the making and then and only then can I register with Pay Per Post. Still at least a month or so more to go before I can even begin to try to make a little money from this blog thing :D
I'm sure those of you who know me would probably say, why not use Anything Goes! to do sponsored posts, since it's already been around for 6 months or so and should be able to qualify for it. Well, for one thing, I'd like Anything Goes! to be totally ad free. I started that blog, well, initially it was just for fun, then it got down to being a more personal blog about my life, my adventures, my family, mt friends and my work. I'd like to keep the personality of that blog as close to what I really am in real life and don't want it cluttered with ads.
That was really the reason why I set up this Spiff site in the first place. I needed another blog that was entirely different from what I really am, thus the oddball character of Spiff emerged (who you calling oddball, you grease ball!) Oh, did I mention, Spiff is a little sensitive ... LOL! Besides, this blog was also for me to mess around with all the codes of blogger and stuff. You see, I'm the kind who is not satisfied with things and I'm always tinkering with stuff unfortunately my understanding of HTML's is like zilch and I didn't wanna mess with Anything Goes! codes, so what better way than to create a new blog to mess with the codes ... hehehe ...
But I've kind of grown fond of this site and I'm interested in keeping this site more updated (how I'm gonna manage that, what with my other blog and my work I don't really know ... LOL!) and hopefully, I'll get the same support from all my Anything Goes! visitors as well. Your visits and comments sure would help a lot in me attempting to jump on the PPP bandwagon and raking in ton's of money ... LOL! Don't worry, when I'm rich and famous, I'll make sure you're all taken care of ... heheheh ....

Hui Sen of Brain Spillage has come up with an interesting idea. I post his entire posting of that idea here:

I would like to start another blog to archive these better posts and naturally have titled it somewhere along the lines of 'The Best Of' and 'Greatest Hits'. LOL!

I would however like to invite my fellow bloggers to join me in this. It would mean much to have my favourite bloggers archive their best posts in the same blog. Definition of best post? I, for one think it's a pretty good idea. I'm sure most of us have some excellent old postings lying around in our archives for years and it would be nice to put them up to be read again. So, folks let's give Hui Sen's idea some support! Here's looking to read your postings soon.

Bad Day ...
The first half of today was pretty lousy. Let me tell you why. It was a nice Saturday morning, slept in late, then woke up and helped the wife with the household chores (yes, even a spaceman must do his 'womanly' duties ... LOL!)
So, after the household chores, the wife and me decided to take the kids out to A&W's for some lunch. There is this A&W restaurant about 5 minutes drive away from my house located on the opposite side of the road. To get there, I had to go a slightly big round around my neighbourhood, which is normally not a problem. But today, for some reason only known to god and his heavenly disciples, the road (this is a normal residential road, mind you) was jammed bumper to bumper from just outside my house.
I'm a person who hates jams, so there I was in the car, with the heat blazing outside, my car air-conditioner fighting to keep us all cool and there we were crawling away inch by inch to get to the restaurant! I was mumbling and griping all the way until we reached the restaurant (what a day for me to decide to use my car instead of my spaceship ... LOL!). Even the wife and kids were a little agitated throughout this 30 or so minute journey, which normally takes about 5 minutes.
After 30 grueling minutes (I drive a manual car with a clutch, so imagine how numb my left leg was) we finally reached the restaurant, searched for a parking and walked to the restaurant only to find the damn place closed for renovations! Can you believe that???? I was fuming by this time. All that inching through traffic came to nothing at all. The kids were disappointed, that's for sure.
So, we got in the car and decided to head to a nearby shopping mall instead and try out this new food place called Hartz Chicken (an all you can eat chicken joint) that was recently opened. Again we had to inch our way through traffic. After another 15 minutes of real slow driving, we reach the shopping mall and park and go straight to the restaurant only to find the food almost finished (this is an all you can eat restaurant, mind you) and no replenishing of the food was in sight! This time the wife was fuming along with me. I felt like blasting them to hell my my super duper duplex special ray gun but alas, I left the damn thing at home ... :D
In the end we finally settled for KFC. How utterly interesting the lunch turned out to be. We just had KFC the day before and it sure didn't appeal much to us but the kids were famished by then. Even then, the lunch at KFC pissed me off again. Together with our main meals, we also ordered this new (or so I think) item on the menu. It looked real huge in the menu but upon getting it, it turns out to be this tiny itsy bitsy thing that would even fill a little baby's stomach! I of all people shouldn't really believe the pictures they put in advertisements seeing as how that silly Nick fellow works in advertising and should know better ... LOL!
Well, the only good thing is the wife and me managed to buy some books that were on discount though :) And the second half of the evening turned out be much better. You can read all about that experience in that silly boy Nick's blog :D

The Genie King, His Princess & Their Buddy!
The Genie King so graciously allowed me to steal this tag from you know who (and in case you didn't, I stole this from Nick, serves you right for not posting it immediately!). Now by posting this, I'm expecting to get my wishes coming true soon. (You heard me Genie King???)
Ok, the legend has it that the mighty (?) Genie King and his beautiful Genie Princess, have finally escaped the clutches of their Evil Master (wonder who that is ... LOL!) after being imprisoned for close to 1000 years (boy, Genie King, bet you look old and ugly by now ... hehehe). Together with help from their scheming and trusty old slave, urmmm, I mean Genie Buddy, they are now on a quest to redeem their very souls for all the evil, wicked stuff they claim they were supposedly forced to do by their Evil Master ... hehehe ...
So tonight, those two scheming genies and their trusty genie buddy will be flying by your homes (damn, I just gotta remember to disengage my surface-to-air missiles) and would like to safeguard it by giving you the sacred symbols of the Genies to ward off the Evil Master and his wicked ways (oh, oh, Nick, now you're done for). To be able to receive their undying protection, the genies are requesting for you to put up their sacred Genie symbols and in return, they will give you two (what's that? Only one??? Double drat!) wish to do as you please. Don't be too greedy, evil, wicked or too vengeful with that wish (what the heck kind of wish is this anyway?) Once you have made your wish, you can join them on their Magical Flying Carpet Ride! I hope that carpet is big enough for all of us but just in case it isn't you're all welcome on my spaceship ;)

Ok, the legend has it that the mighty (?) Genie King and his beautiful Genie Princess, have finally escaped the clutches of their Evil Master (wonder who that is ... To be able to receive their undying protection, the genies are requesting for you to put up their sacred Genie symbols and in return, they will give you two (what's that? Only one??? Double drat!) wish to do as you please. Don't be too greedy, evil, wicked or too vengeful with that wish (what the heck kind of wish is this anyway?) A Boring Weekend ...
The weekend came and went like a puff of smoke. It was a long weekend cos of the Friday public holiday for independence day. I basically stayed home most of the time except on Friday where I had to attend my cousin's son's birthday party. It turned out to be a pretty fun party, though there could have been a little extra food.The party was held at McDonalds and the food ran out pretty quick. Well, I supposed with 2o hyper active kids running and playing, they can get pretty hungry fast!
I also met an ex-colleague at this party. The strange thing is he knew my cousin for years but I only found out during the party. He was my ex art director and we've been working together for close to 2 years and I didn't know that he knew my cousin much longer than he knew me. How small the world can be at times. It was good catching up on old times with him. Traded old advertising stories, what else do people in advertising talk about except trade old advertising stories ... LOL!
Well, that was a short update on the adventures of Spaceman Spiff's weekend, which was pretty boring really. Will sign in with more adventures soon. Drat, I forgot that I have to do a tag from Nessa. Sorry Nessa, will get to it pretty soon ... hehehe ...
