1,2 Buckle My Shoe ...

Nessa of Mumblings tagged on a really easy meme a while back. It's so easy that it's even called a 12345 meme. How cool is that? Since I heard that bum Nick is now trying to do tags and memes given to him within a week, I can't let him outshine me now can I? So, to go one up on him, I'm going to do all tags and memes given to me within 3 days max or your tag will be refunded to you in full ... LOL!

Ok, I'm not gonna bore you with useless chatter here, let's get straight down to finishing this tag ...

1. Name 1 thing you do everyday:
Irritate the life out of a Zorkian bug? Seriously, urrrmmmm, sleep?

2. Name 2 things you wish you could learn:
As shameful as it is for a Spaceman to admit, it would have to be swimming and playing any musical intrsument, namely a guitar would be fine.

3. Name 3 things that remind you of your childhood:
A Papaya tree cos my cousins and me used to play under this papaya tree converting it in a fort and hang out there all day.
My grandma cos I was a spoilt brat.

Christmas cos we'd get to eat grandpa's chicken pie.

4. Name 4 things you love to eat but rarely do:
Pizza
Garlic Steak

Garlic Naan

Banana Leaf Rice

5. Name 5 things that make you feel good:
Mrs. Spiff
Food

Running

Blasting Zorkian Bugs

Money

There. That didn't take me more than 10 minutes to do. I'm going to be kind here and not tag anyone cos I know most of you would have been tagged by somebody with this meme already by now. I can hear you guys going 'Pheewwwwwww'. LOL!

Perpetually Broke.

Has there ever been a time in your life when you simply just couldn't wait for the end of the month to arrive? Maybe you've just run out of cash way before the month end and you need some cash just to survive till pay day. Well, it's happened to me back when I first started work all those years ago.

I didn't really earn all that much back then, and normally my salary would run out way before the end of the month and I'd always end up figuring out how the heck am I going to survive? The one good thing was I was still staying with my family and didn't have to worry about rental, utilities, food and all those household bills cos mom would take care of it. But I did have to worry about bus fare though. And eventually I'd end up borrowing from mom or even my cousins sometimes.

I didn't like doing it but what choice did I have? It was either that or walk to work which was not an option back then cos my house was kinda far from where I work. You didn't really have much option if you were broke back then unlike today where you could always just turn to TrustSource and check out one of the many payday loans sites they have there. It really comes in useful when you're caught between paychecks.

And the process is pretty simple too. You don't really need any documents at all. Once your application is approved, the money will be electronically deposited into the savings or checking account that you indicated in your application and you're no longer broke. It's as easy as that. How I wish they had this back in those days when I desperately needed some extra cash just to get me through the month. At least I wouldn't have had to 'drop my water face' (an old Chinese saying which means embarrassing ones self) and borrow money from anyone!

Reading Neglect.

I haven't read a real good book in a long time. In fact to be really honest, I haven't read any books since I started blogging! And that's not really a good thing for me. I guess too much, well almost all my free time is spent blogging. I love reading. I even think I wrote a post about my addiction to reading in my other blog a long time ago. And I used to read every single free time I had. But that was until I discovered blogging. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But I know I miss my reading tremendously.

I have a big appetite when it's comes to reading. I have a huge (well, not really that huge) collection of books at home ranging from the likes of Clive Cussler (one of my all time favourites), Harold Coyle, Dan Brown, Tom Clancy, etc and not forgetting the load of various authors for my Star Trek novels and I think I've read all of them at least a minimum of 10 times, no kidding! I can never get enough of reading. I used to borrow books or rather rent them from this bookshop near my house and most of the time I never return them ... LOL! Well, I've paid for it anyway. I'd get back some money if I did return them but it's cheaper than buying a whole new novel which is at least 3 times the price.

I really got to pry myself away from this blog once in a while and immerse myself in a good book one of these days or I'll probably forget how to read ... LOL! Maybe this weekend I'll head out to that Rent-A-Book shop and see what new stuff they have for me to rent and not return ... hehehe ... That is if I can resist the temptation of my blog. There are a couple of books out there that I've got my eye on, namely a new Clive Cussler novel that I forgot the title and one book that they based the TV series The Unit on called Inside Delta Force. I've been dying to get my hands on it for a long time but can't find it here. I checked on eBay and the shipping charges alone makes it not worthwhile buying. Hopefully I can find a copy here at a much cheaper price.

So, there you have it folks, an admission from a reading junkie that he hasn't read a decent book in months! Shameful isn't it? I hang my head down in despair and utter humiliation ... LOL! Damn, this blog can be so bloody addictive and having two blogs to maintain can be even worse. While blogging may be something that takes all my attention and free time now, my love for reading will never disappear. I shall make a promise with myself to rekindle my affair with reading and get a nice good book this weekend and stay away from this evil blog ... muahahahaha ...

Seriously, What Should We Do?

This strip reminds me of what wifey and me would go through if we decided to leave the kids at home :D

I Love Technology!

I was going through my outstanding assignment listings today and I see this particular assignment that is about something I know best and that is advertising and printing. I think most of you who reads my other blog knows that I work in the field of advertising. Hey, being a spaceman and plundering planet upon planet doesn't really pay the bills, okay?

I've been working in this industry for as long as I can remember and if I'm not mistaken, I've been in it for a good 17 years or so. I started out on the lowest rung of the advertising ladder as an FA Artist doing manual paste up jobs that was both tedious and absolutely time consuming. It was hell in them old days without computers and stuff. Well, the big huge Ad agencies did have their Macs and stuff but us smaller agencies, well, more like design houses couldn't afford the stuff so we had to make do with doing things manually.

We didn't have Digital Printing capabilities back then cos the hardware alone cost the size of a small country ... LOL! If we really needed to print something digitally, we had to send it out to specialized digital printing houses which back then could be counted on the fingers of one hand. Imagine if a client needed a Signage or even a couple of Banners done, in this day and age I could get it done within a few hours if it was really urgent or a day or two if it wasn't. If it was those days, getting it within a week would be considered a great achievement. I guess technology has made things so much easier for us in the advertising industry which sometimes I do not know if it is a good or bad thing.

Clients now expects everything to be ready in super fast times and they're also much more knowledgeable about production processes now, so there really is not bluffing them that we cannot get their things done super fast. And with the amount of competition out there in terms of Agencies, Design houses, Digital Printing Services and even freelancers, we just have to bend backwards and cater to their demands or risk having to find new clients. But for me, technology is a good thing cos I get to do my stuff even faster and that means lesser overtimes and more time with the family :)

First There Was Light ...

There I was in the midst of evading the death rays of a Zorkian Bug Ship when the beeping tone of my fancy schmancy communications gear goes off

'Drats, who in heavens could be buzzing me?'

Executing a slick and cool evasive maneuver, I hit the communication button and discover it's Marzie informing me that I've been tagged once again. Fine time to tell me, with 2 dozen Zorkian Bug Ships on my tail! But being the super slick spaceman that I am, I listen to what the message has to say at the same time trying to out maneuver those Zorkians. Apparently the purpose of the meme is to achieve 1,000 links throughout the blogsphere. I guess it was be no harm in joining it and see how far and how long this meme would go. Maybe I could get those bug eyed Zorkians to join too ... LOL!

Well, the rules are pretty simple, read on and find out for yourself. Now back to those Zorkians on my tail ...

So there, pretty simple ain't it? And here's my victims for this Big Bang Meme.

Listen To The Rhythm Of The Falling Rain ...

It's raining outside and I'm so thankful for the rain cos it's been an exceptionally hot day today. The sun was blisteringly hot and it's a relief to hear the pitter patter, well, it's not exactly a pitter pattering out there, it's more like a mini storm with all the frills of lightning and thunder thrown in.

While heavy rain always screws up our satellite TV reception, I'm not all that bothered cos as long as my wireless connection to the net is not affected I'm fine with it. Well, the kids are not too pleased though since they can't watch their cartoons and are stuck with having to find stuff to keep themselves entertained until the rain stops and the reception returns.

The day was basically spent doing some spring cleaning to both the boys and our room and also the upstairs hall where the boys have all their toys scattered everywhere but in the place where it's supposed to be. It took both wifey and me a whole good three hours cleaning the place and in the process I had bleached splattered in my right eye. Thankfully it was just a tiny little splatter and I rinsed it off immediately. I got an earful from wifey for being so careless but thankfully my eye is okay. Hopefully I'll still be able to see tomorrow morning ... LOL! If not honey, you could always send me to one of those senior living homes ... LOL!

I've been going through some of my Calvin & Hobbes comics (I just love Calvin & Hobbes) and I thought I'd post every now and then one of my favourite clips or something I think that relates to me here. Hope the clips gives you guys as great a laugh as it did for me :) Unless of course you're not a Calvin & Hobbes fan (how could you not be?) and have absolutely no sense of humour whatsoever, then I can't help you ... LOL! And here's the first of many ... Oh, and click for a larger view of the clip in case it's too small for your screen.

The End Of The World!

I think it's going to rain like crazy or the world is going to end cos I hear what I presume to be either thunder or explosions out there. I can't really be sure cos my 'lovely room' here in the office doesn't have a window for me to look and find out! I'm just hearing this laud booming sounds in the distance and while I can always walk downstairs and find out, I'm just too plain lazy. If it's going to rain elephants and dinosaurs, that would be a good thing cos it's been bloody hot out there the past two days. And if the world is going to be ending anytime soon, then so be it, but they'd better have internet connection either in heaven or in hell for me to continue blogging ... LOL!

Actually come to think of it, I'm probably destined for hell. I wonder if I could like maybe run for president or whatever that Lucifer guys position is down there. I bet I'd make a great ruler in hell ... LOL! But with my luck they'll probably kick me out of hell! Oh, what do you know, the world isn't going to end after all cos I can hear rain out there. Drats and I was so looking to use the end of the world as an excuse for not coming to work on Monday :D

As you guys can probably tell from the fact that I'm actually writing loads of rubbish here that I'm damn free and you know what? I am damn free right now! I have finished all my work for the day and while I still do have quite a bit more, I'm taking it home to work on it over the weekend. It's about 4pm Friday evening in these parts of the world and I'm just waiting for work to be over. I'm enjoying every bit of going home early cos after the upcoming Chinese New Year in February I foresee a lot of overtime and late nighters. So might as well enjoy while I can, right?

Whoa, it sounds like it's really pouring giraffes and bug eyed Zorkians out there. The thing is, my office area is prone to flash floods when it rains this heavily and getting to my car later is also going to be a huge problem! I suppose I'm going to just have to run in the rain and hopefully get to my car before I'm soaked silly. Its not going to do my shoes much good though. Maybe I could put on that pair of sexy boots I saw lying somewhere in my office. It looks waterproof. The again, there's still two whole hours to go and the rain just might stop :D

Thursday Blues ...

I always hate coming back to work after a holiday. I'll just be too blooming lazy to even do anything. Half the day has come and gone and I've yet to accomplish anything really constructive at all. Don't get me wrong, I have had lots to do at work, even had to go for a creative brief for an Annual Report project this morning but my heart just wasn't in it. Furthermore, they are one of my least favourite clients at the moment.

So, I'm taking a break right now just to try and find the spark I need to get my work juices flowing again. And by the time I actually get it flowing again, it'll probably be time to head for home ... LOL! Well, at least there's my running to look forward to. I skipped my run session yesterday cos I took a nap just a wee bit too long and by the time I woke up I was just too lazy to run! At least I got no such excuse today.

Today is American Idol night, followed by Amazing Race Asia and right after that it's Grey's Anatomy and those of you who's been reading my other blog would know I"m a great fan of reality shows (well, not all of them though) and I'll be glued to the idiot box from 8pm till way after 11pm. Now if only my couch was a little more comfy, it would make the viewing of these shows all that much more comfortable. I've had that couch for some time now and it's really been used a way bit too much that sitting on it for too long can be a pain in the ass, literally! LOL!

Maybe it's high time Mrs. Spiff and me went out looking for some new contemporary furniture to replace our old aging set. They currently look like they belong in a museum and I'll be glad to get rid of them. But I'm pretty particular with living room furniture. I don't really like the too contemporary kind, those that look like they belong in my rocket ship. I prefer the more cozier kinds with a mix of tartan motifs and lots of throw pillows all over. Maybe one day when I'm rich enough, I'll go out and get a new living room set but until then it's going to be that old can't sit on too long couch for now! Siiigggghhhhhhhhhhh ...

A Lapping We Will Go ...

I'm always finding ways to reduce my weight. I used to be a scrawny fellow with a waist line of 29 inches but that was when I was wee spaceman of 30 years old. And now, close to 10 years later my waist line is so much larger that I'm not even going to let you guys know for fear of being ridiculed!

I owe it all to the lifestyle I lead. I used to be pretty active in my youth and though I'm still active these days but I eat too much and I don't exercise very often. Yeah, I've started my running and all again, but running will take some time for results and it's a long, hard painful road.

I wish there was some easier way (and faster) for me to just go back to being the size I was before. And then Lozster of A Mid Life Journey mentioned something called lap band and that it was a less painful method to losing weight. I was intrigued so I checked it out. And here is what I found out.

A lap band is some kind of adjustable band that goes around your upper stomach. The lap band's adjustable band restricts the limit of your stomachs capacity which will in turn decrease the amount of food you eat and makes you less hungry. Apparently you require some kind of surgery done by lap band surgeons and is one of the safest and least invasive surgeries around.

Well, it seems and looks like a good and easy and most importantly painless way of losing weight but I'm freaked out by anything to do with surgeries, safe or otherwise! I think I'll just stick to the tried and trusted method of losing weight by continuing my daily runs and limiting my own food intake through sheer determination. If that doesn't work, I'll go lock up the refrigerator and throw away the key! LOL!

Dishwashing And Me ...

I've become a mopping specialist! Imagine me, a superior spaceman calling himself a mopping specialist, can you believe that? But it sounds so cool anyway ... LOL! This morning Mrs. Spiff and me did some spring cleaning in our kitchen. There went my plans for lazing around the house doing absolutely nothing ... LOL!

The kitchen floors were getting a tad too oily for my liking. And we both hate the feel of a slimy oily floor so we took it upon ourselves to spring clean the kitchen. My mom has this habit of frying stuff with just a way bit too much oil and it tends to fly every which way and a lot of it ends up on the floor and she doesn't really mop it up all too well after that.

So, I took it upon myself to mop all the oil away and make the kitchen floors squeaky clean again and boy, it took me forever to mop that floor that by the time I finished, I felt like I knew everything there was to know about mopping ... LOL! And I though that would be the end of it, but then Mrs. Spiff hijacked me to help her with cleaning the dishes seeing as how some of those dishes were pretty oily too, damn, looks like everything in my house seems to be oily!

That took ages too cos we have way to much dishes to wash. I really abhor washing the dishes. I wish I had me one of those counter top dishwasher thingys. That would make my life so much easier. Maybe I should go check our how much a counter top dishwasher costs? I don't think it would cost all that much now would it? And even if it did, so what? It would make sense and be justifiable in the long run wouldn't it? Think of how much more time I could have on my hands to tinker with my rocket ship. Then again, my birthday is coming up pretty soon, so if anyone wants to get me a gift, make sure it's a counter top dishwasher, k? LOL!

Justice League Of America.

I was just over at Nessa's site and I saw her post this thing about a Justice League of America movie and my eyes almost popped out. And after picking my jaw off the floor and wiping away the saliva dribbling down my chin I just had to go Google it and find out more.

You see, I'm a huge comic fan and Justice League happens to be one of my favourite titles along with X-men, Spider-man, Fantastic Four, Iron-Man, well, just about every superhero title out there is my favorite anyway ... LOL! So you can imagine how excited I am right now upon hearing news of the upcoming JLA movie.

The funny thing is I didn't even know they had this movie in the pipeline. I was more like expecting them to have an Avengers movie which I've heard is also in the pipeline though I cannot be sure of it at this point of time. But I'm sure if JLA the movie comes out, Avengers the movie will follow soon enough.

Ok, enough blabbering already, I'm going to check out more on this JLA movie and I'm 'stealing' the JLA comic pix from Nessa's site to post it here cos I just love the image :) Hope you don't mind Nessa ... hehehe ...

Anything Goes.Com?

You know what? I'm going to get myself my own domain soon. I've had sleepless nights thinking about it. I've contemplated about it while driving to work. I've pondered upon it while waiting for my appointments. And everything points down to the fact that I should get my own domain name. I mean I've been blogging close to a year now and I do so enjoy blogging, well addicted is a better word and having my own domain would be something cool, right?

I've seen some of my blogging buddies who own their own domains and they're all excited about it. It also looks much more cooler, design and template wise that is. You can get to do so many more things with the templates and stuff unlike the ones I'm using now. While I can tweak this template to my hearts content, there are still some limitations to it.

Well, one of the first things I'd need to probably find a good and reliable web hosting company. And I know of a great one online that I can check out. It's called web hosting choice and is an advertisement free guide to finding the best and most suitable web host plan for myself. They have a great searchable directory for just such a task so I'm sure I'll get some good returns from my search.

I'll be checking it out that's for sure cos I'm seriously considering moving my blog, well, not this blog anyway, my other blog Anything Goes into it's own domain very soon. Wish me luck?

Mid Week Holiday.

Oh, it's good to be getting up late on a Wednesday and not having to go to work. It's good to be able to sleep in while almost the rest of the population of Malaysia has to go to work. And why is that? Well, today is the celebration of Thaipusam for the Hindus here and for a few states over here it's a holiday and the state I happen to be living in is one of them. So, while you other people in those various states who are working, I sure don't envy you guys ... LOL!

What is Thaipusam really? Well, Thaipusam is basically a festival celebrated by those of the Hindu faith on the full moon of the Tamil month of Thai (January/February). Pusam refers to a star which is at the highest point during this festival. The festival commemorates both the birthday of Lord Murugan, the youngest son of Shiva and Parvati, and the occasion in which Parvati gave Murugan a vel (lance) so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman.

Generally people take a vow to offer a kavadi (burdens) to the Lord for purpose of tiding over or averting a great calamity. For instance, if the devotee's son is laid up with a fatal disease, he would pray to Shanmuga to grant the boy a lease of life in return for which the devotee would take a vow to dedicate a kavadi to Him.

Devotees usually prepare for the celebration with a cleansing ritual that involves prayers and fasting. Devotees will normally shave their heads bald and undertake a pilgrimage along a set path while engaging in various acts of devotion by carrying numerous types of kavadi which at its simplest may just involve carrying a pot of milk but at its extreme piercing the skin, tongue and cheeks with skewers are also common.

I've never been to one of these Thaipusam thingys but normally watch it on TV. It's just too crowded with thousands of devotees congregating the fulfill their vows. Anyway, that's the best description I could give you on the Festival of Thaipusam, if any of it may not be accurate, don't blame me, blame Wikipedia, that's where I got my info from ... LOL! And lastly, before I sign off, a Happy Thaipusam to my Hindu friends.

Long Lost Acquaintances ..

I was going through my office desk drawer today, clearing out some of the junk that has been lying in there for ages. Yeah, I'm the kind of person who keeps loads of junk. I can't bring myself to throwing anything away. And in my line of work, I get loads of sample for things such as papers, souvenir items, bags, caps and whatnots from my suppliers and they're all lumped in my drawer.

Since I was a little free earlier this morning, I decided to go through all the junk and throw away what I don't need but knowing me, I'll probably put all of it back after going through each and every single item like I always do ... LOL! Anyway, as I was going through all my stuff, I came across this old diary I had. I was a little surprised that I even had it cos it's dated to way back in 1993!

Going through it was like going back into the past. I used write down what I did on a daily basis back then, and half the things in there, well, it was like almost all the things I wrote in there I don't even remember doing ... LOL! Even most of the names listed in the phone book section of the diary are of people I cannot recall anymore. I wonder if they're still alive even ... LOL!

Actually this has got me thinking about all the people I knew previously that I've kinda lost contact with. I seriously wouldn't know how to find them again even if I wanted to, well, not in this country anyway. Now, if you're from someplace like Canada, then I'd say you're in luck because I read about this site called Canpages. It's an online directory that has both a business directory as well as a residential directory.

With it's comprehensive, robust and unique data that makes use of the satellite images provided by Google, you'd probably be able to find almost anyone in Canada. They have this thing called a reverse lookup where you could just key in the phone number of the person you're looking for and if it's in the Canpages database, the listings of that person will be made available to you. Cool isn't it?

Gee, I know more about Canpages, that's located miles away in Canada but I have no knowledge about our own local Yellow pages. I wonder if they have these kinds of capabilities as well. Maybe I'll give it a look see, who knows I just might be able to find some of the people who are listed in that old diary of mine :)

Evil I Am Not!

I was browsing the internet just a while ago looking for more free games and came across this site that with a little quiz to take to see how evil you are. Well, I was gleefully happy to take it seeing as how I knew I was going to get an extremely evil score! But to my utter shock, not to mention embarrassment, it seems I'm not that evil after all. Damn! I was expecting to be Lucifer supreme or something but instead I get this wuss of a picture of some crazy thing in wings saying I'm only 36% evil. WTF! Who makes up these quizzes? Do they even know what evil really is? LOL!

Oh, well, if you guys think you're eviler (is there such a word?) than me, then by all means try it for yourself and see if you can come up better. As for me, I'm going to go hang my head down in sorrow and wallow in self pity ... hehehe ...

You Are 36% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

Music To My Ears ...

It rained today and it rained heavily and I'm damn glad for the rain. It's been a blisteringly hot weekend. The weather was incredibly dry, much more drier than it is on Planet Zork. Even though the rain has totally ruined my run for the day but I'm not complaining. I prefer a little rain to cool the place down than suffer the heat any longer. There's always tomorrow for my run, besides I ran two whole days in a row so I can just count today as a rest day :D

Yeah, I've started my running again. Gotta get in shape again now that the Zorkian fleet is up and active ... LOL! Ok, I know I can be a little crazy at times but the heat does that to me. Oh, speaking about taking a break fromm running, this will be just perfect for me to go out and look for some new noise cancelling headphones. I normally listen to music during my runs cos it can get a little boring and lonely on those runs so the music does help make the session more enjoyable.

The current headphones I have are pretty worn out from all the sweat and stress I put it through and besides, it's a really cheap one that I bought ages ago, not one of those nice fancy schmancy noise cancelling headphones that I've set my eyes upon. These headphones are so cool, once you plug them into your ears, you won't hear anything else except the music. But it can be a wee bit dangerous for me since I run on the roads and probably wouldn't hear cars honking at me ... LOL! Hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't be getting those noise cancelling headphones after all.

Skull Candy Skullcandy SC-SBW3.5 Smokin Bud Rasta Headphones

Gaming Galore ...

Just the other day I was downloading games online for Mrs. Spiff. She's been playing those free trial games and they expire after an hour or so and some of those games she's taken a liking to and has been asking me to see if I could get the full version for her. Honey, I know I'm a superior technologically advanced spaceman and own a super high tech out of this world computer and all that but how in heavens name am I going to find the full game for you short of paying for it online and you know I'm too much of a cheapskate to pay for those games ... LOL!

So, I did the next best thing possible. I Limewired the games while I was at work and managed to get her 3 or 4 of those games. They looked pretty cool so I kinda tried them out in the office PC's just to test if they were working properly or not. I mean, you can't really trust some of these online games, they sometimes come complete with viruses, trojan horses, worms and all that stuff. And to my surprise I actually got hooked on playing these games.

While I do love playing games, I do have a particular genre of games that I'm crazy about and quite a few games on Mrs. Spiff's list is not on them but these recent games that I've downloaded for her has given me a few sleepless nights playing the till the wee hours of morning and even to the extent of neglecting a few assignments that I have on hand! LOL! Damn, who knew these simple games can be loads of fun and damned exciting. We've both spent the whole weekend playing these games into the early hours of the morning and right after I post this online coupons thingy I'm going to be continuing my gaming sessions with wifey who has already started playing her games ... LOL!

A Pain In The Head!

Oh god, I've been having this terrible headache ever since I woke up this morning. And it's throbbing like some jack hammer on steroids inside my brain.

'so, what are you doing online then?'

You're not at all helping you annoying little interloper, you! Why don't you go take a running leap of some cliff or something? But you do have a point though! Well, if you must know I was expecting an important email and just had to get online to checked if it came in yet, and since I was online, I though I'd just take a quick peek at my blog and one thing led to another and here I am actually posting something!

I'm probably going to need to go out after this post and get some painkillers for the headache cos I don't have any available at home. I thought I did but obviously I don't. Now I'm going to have to go and take my bath, change, then drive all the way to the pharmacy just to get some painkillers. If it didn't hurt that bad, I'd just as soon suffer through the pain.

Sometimes I wish I could like just log on and order online and in a few minutes or something, the painkillers would arrive at my door, you know, just like those pizza delivery thingy? That would be neat wouldn't it? No more standing in line waiting for prescriptions, no more having to drive all the way there, no more having to look for parking. All you have to do, is just fill in your prescriptions online from the privacy of your own home using your credit card. And it's so discreet, I mean even if you needed a little boost for urrmmm, you know, some noise making and you need that miracle blue pill to spice things up, then you could always search for a viagra online pharmacy and order some in total discretion and have it sent to your doorstep! But if that was going to happen, I should think you'd better already have that blue pill ready instead of making your partner wait the whole day for it to arrive .... LOL!

Ok, I seriously think I'd better log off and go get myself some painkillers. The headache just took the pain to a new level! Catch you guys a little later when the headache's gone.

Super Urgent!

Only yesterday I was complaining that I had really nothing much to do in the office and today I suddenly get a barrage of calls from my clients (well, two of them anyway) and they need some stuff done and the worst things is, they need it super urgent by Monday next week. Yeah, right, like as if I don't have a life, besides, it's the weekend already and just who in heavens name is going to stay back and do it for them. Most definitely not me.

Next time I have nothing to do, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut and not complain about having nothing to do. You never know when your wishes would just come true ... LOL! Well, all I know is, it's going to be slightly impossible to get the work done on time by Monday so I'm going to have to use my great conman, urrrrmmm, I mean persuasive skills to try and get the client to give me a little more time.

I mean, the work they need done isn't all that difficult. My client is a financial institution and they want to promote one of their mortgage products which they plan to have a promotion next month, something to do with uk mortgage (though for the life of me I can't see what business they have with the UK) But like I said, it's really not that hard to do because I've done one or two of their previous mortgages campaign before and basically there is so much one can say about it. It's about the same things as before such as mortgage quotes, the best mortgage deals and stuff like that but with a slightly different twist to it.

But of course if I actually give in to their request of getting it ready for them by Monday, then they're always going to take advantage of the fact that all their work could be completed in super fast time. It's not like as if I haven't spoilt them enough already. I'm just figuring out what excuse I can give them to get them to give me a little more time. Oh, well, I'll think of something soon ... LOL!

Blogging Slowdown ...

Gosh, Thursday is here already and before you know it, it'll be the weekend already. Not that I'm complaining mind you. I love weekends, I look forward to weekends, I live for weekends! Get the picture? Well, good :) The work week has been such a boring one. Not much rush jobs came my way the whole and while I'm thankful for it, it can get pretty boring doing nothing. Yeah, I could blog all day but there is a limit to my blogging.

'Yeah right, Spiff!'

Yeah, I know you find that hard to digest, especially coming from me, right? Well, it's true. I think I've been 'over blogging' if there is such a word and I've neglected certain things in life. And I need to rectify that into a better perspective. I'm going to cut down a little more on my blogging from now. Oh, don't you guys for one minute think I'm giving up blogging, you're all not that lucky ... LOL!

As I was mentioning earlier, work wise it's been a terribly boring week. In fact it's been like this since I came back to work after the Christmas holidays. And it's probably going to be like this till at least mid February. The Chinese New Year is just around the corner, somewhere early February and it's always during this time that work slows down considerably. It should pick up again after the Chinese New Year holidays and then I'll have no reason to complain that work is slow :D

At least that will give me the time needed to start my running again. I've totally neglected it and not run since way before Christmas. I have this little running log book that I keep track of my progress, my time, the distance I've done and I checked it yesterday and the last entry I logged in was November 22nd 2006! I was appalled by it. Whatever hard work I've done prior to that has all gone to waste. I'm going to have to start from scratch and any runner who's worth his/her salt would tell you the starting again part is the MOST hardest. This weekend would be the cruncher cos that's when I'm going to start my running again.

At least I'll have company with me this time cos I'm also bringing the two boys with me. They've been putting on weight and have been getting a tad lazy at home and Mrs. Spiff and me decided that it's time for them to start living a more healthier life, especially after we both watched this show on Oprah about kids who are totally unhealthy and fat! Don't want that happening to my kids, that's for sure. The good things is, my house is situated very near the local Municipal Councils head office and they have an excellent stadium with a running track around it that they open to the public everyday. I normally do my running on the roads, but with the kids tagging along, I'd feel safer with them running in the stadium.

This is by far one of the longest postings I've posted in this blog. I normally reserve the longer boring ones for my other blog Anything Goes but once in a while, I guess it'd be nice to bore you guys here too ... LOL! Oh and remember I mentioned about gold cufflinks a long while ago in one of my blogs (see, it was so long ago, even I forgot!), well, I lost the damn things again ...

The Online Casino Genius.

What did I tell you? I'm really becoming an expert on Casinos :D Here's another online casino that I'd like to tell you guys about. The site is called Gamblux.com and it is basically an online gambling portal and casino guide that has loads of updated information about some of the worlds best casinos. If you're into this sort of thing, then this site should be the one for you.

Well, to be fair, I logged into their site and check out what hey have to offer. After all I can't really give you any recommendations if I don't actually go to the site now could I? That wouldn't be fair at all. Anyway, as I was saying, I checked out their site and found it pretty interesting. Design wise it's pretty catchy with bright attractive colours that immediately capture your attention.

That's not all, content wise, the site is pretty informative and and has very current information for things such as the recommended casino of the month, articles on gambling and also providing you with the latest in online casinos and gambling news. And it's also pretty easy to navigate as the interface is extremely user-friendly. And the most important thing is the variety of games they have on hand for it's customers are something you have to log in to see for yourself :D Once you're inside, you can search for the best casino that suits your gambling needs and you can start having a blast immediately!

Well, like I said in an earlier posting, one of these days I'm seriously going to try one of these sites out and really play the games they have to offer. Who knows maybe I just might become good at this. Then again, maybe not, I just might be totally addicted to it and lose all my hard earned money ... hehehe ...

The Casino Expert.

Gee, somebody out there must think I just love to gamble online because here I am doing another new casino posting ... LOL! I'm not really complaining though because after the plumber cleaned me out yesterday with his repair bill, I need all the assignments I can muster. And if it's going be another casino assignment, so be it. Besides I'm getting pretty good at this casino thing that soon I'll be an excellent casino critic ... LOL!

Ok, this time I'm here to tell you about rushmorecasino.com - casino online, and all it's benefits and the great games they have on offer. Rushmore Casino is one of the most sizzlingly hot and outstanding online casinos out there. And that simple fact is because they are staffed by honest to goodness and professional people. They place extreme importance in creating a fair and balanced gaming environment for all it's members.

Not only that, with Rushmore Casino, you get a lot more in terms of bonuses which includes something called a First Deposit Bonus of $888, now, ain't that just peachy :) What's more, when you bet at the casino here, you're also rewarded through a point system that is accumulated and can be exchanged for bonus chips and special gifts.

And once you download their real time gaming software, you'll be pleased with it's user-friendly and speedy interface that you'll be having a blast in no time. And if you're worried about security, then don't, because they assure you of unrivalled security for its real time gaming software. Well, to cut a long story short, I would say (and yes, I actually did go to their site to get these facts, ok.) that overall, if I was going to start a habit of online gambling, this would be my site of choice based on their professional, supportive and an extremely secure gaming experience.
