The Year So Far ...

The weekend came and went really fast. One minute it was Friday night and the next thing I know it's Sunday evening. Where did the time go? I didn't really do much the whole weekend. In fact I can't even remember a single thing I did except go grocery shopping this morning after picking the boys up from Sunday school.

Time sure flies when you're having fun ... at least I think I was having fun. LOL! See, I can't even remember if it was a fun weekend or not. This spaceman must be losing it already. Imagine a senile spaceman zooming around the galaxy, that can't be a fun picture to imagine, ya? LOL!

Eleven days have already gone into the new year and so far it's been a so-so year. Nothing much to shout about just yet. There still are eleven months to go before I really start complaining about thing ... hehehe ... Spending money wasn't how I envisioned to start the year but spending money I did. My car insurance and road tax expired last week and that set me back quite a bit financially. In fact I had to go through a whole lot of hassle to get it done.

There were some new laws concerning motor vehicle insurance that I knew nothing about and after a lengthy heated discussion with the insurance people, I ended up paying so much more for the darn insurance. This was when I wish I was in the US in the state of Maryland, so I could just get a Maryland auto insurance which would have been so much more hassle free and less stressful!

So I would say my year started well and encountered a slight bump along the way. I hope there won't be more such bumps like these. How about you guys? How's your year so far?
