Bad Year!

The year is only 14 days old and so far I've had quite a bit of problems financial wise. First my car has been giving me an absolute headache for the whole 14 days of this year since last December. And now my kitchen sink decides to join the bandwagon and act up on me.

Actually it started acting up on me since last Friday. It got clogged on Friday and I spent a good 2 hours on Friday after work trying to sort it out myself. I always try to fix things myself first before I call in the experts. I tried some of those household drain de-cloggers like Mr. Muscles and it did solve the problem (or so I thought) for a little while but the next day it got clogged again.

Maybe it's not powerful enough I say, so the next day I go and buy the professional kind called Drano thinking this just might do the trick. Well, It didn't cos this morning when Mrs. Spiff was preparing breakfast for the boys, it backed up again. I've given up. I'm just going to call the plumbers and let them handle it. But there goes some pretty good money that could be used for a lot of other things. I'm beginning to dread what the rest of the year is going to be like.

Ok, I'm going to end my rantings here for today cos I need to call a few plumbers for some quotes and see if they could come over later today cos I need to arrange my time to be home when they come over. Then I've got to look into a few applications we've been getting cos I put it a request to my boss for some help here at work and there's quite a bit of response that has come in through the weekend. I hate doing this stuff but since I requested it, I guess I just got to do it. I hope when it comes to employee performance evaluation time, my boss appreciates all the work I've done ...
