Long Lost Acquaintances ..

I was going through my office desk drawer today, clearing out some of the junk that has been lying in there for ages. Yeah, I'm the kind of person who keeps loads of junk. I can't bring myself to throwing anything away. And in my line of work, I get loads of sample for things such as papers, souvenir items, bags, caps and whatnots from my suppliers and they're all lumped in my drawer.

Since I was a little free earlier this morning, I decided to go through all the junk and throw away what I don't need but knowing me, I'll probably put all of it back after going through each and every single item like I always do ... LOL! Anyway, as I was going through all my stuff, I came across this old diary I had. I was a little surprised that I even had it cos it's dated to way back in 1993!

Going through it was like going back into the past. I used write down what I did on a daily basis back then, and half the things in there, well, it was like almost all the things I wrote in there I don't even remember doing ... LOL! Even most of the names listed in the phone book section of the diary are of people I cannot recall anymore. I wonder if they're still alive even ... LOL!

Actually this has got me thinking about all the people I knew previously that I've kinda lost contact with. I seriously wouldn't know how to find them again even if I wanted to, well, not in this country anyway. Now, if you're from someplace like Canada, then I'd say you're in luck because I read about this site called Canpages. It's an online directory that has both a business directory as well as a residential directory.

With it's comprehensive, robust and unique data that makes use of the satellite images provided by Google, you'd probably be able to find almost anyone in Canada. They have this thing called a reverse lookup where you could just key in the phone number of the person you're looking for and if it's in the Canpages database, the listings of that person will be made available to you. Cool isn't it?

Gee, I know more about Canpages, that's located miles away in Canada but I have no knowledge about our own local Yellow pages. I wonder if they have these kinds of capabilities as well. Maybe I'll give it a look see, who knows I just might be able to find some of the people who are listed in that old diary of mine :)

LOL! Yup, you sure sound like you know a lot more about someone else's services than your own ... LOL! But I guess it's only natural for people to know more about others than things around them, right? No offense ,ya. Just a general observation with human beings :D Nice day to you ...
