My younger boy came up to me yesterday and asked if we could get a new tv, an lcd tv at that. And when I asked him what for, he says the tv that we have right now is so old fashioned, huge and totally bulky! And furthermore he said, it would make watching Ultraman all the more enjoyable.
What does he think? Like as if money grows on trees, that would be nice though if they did actually grow on trees ... LOL! But then, he's got a point too. The TV we have is kinda old and bulky and the sound isn't exactly state-of-the-art. We normally have to crank up the volume way up just to be able to hear what's being said on TV. And lets not even talk about the super low definition colours it has ...
I was actually at one time thinking of getting a new tv but after the recent fuel hike, that's not on my list of priorities at the moment. As long as we can still see the darn screen and hear what being shown, it's fine by me. But it would be great if one day I could actually afford one of those super duper cool looking lcd tv's but until then Ultraman is just going to have to battle it out with those monsters on that bulky tv ... LOL!

It certainly did played on my mind to own one of those modern hi-tech tvs too but then my current toshiba is still giving good pics and surviving LCD, Plasma and now the HDTV era. Heard there will be a lagi new HDTV and will be cheaper soon but if it's not broken i'm not gonna change it. After all, I hardly get on the tv now that they've been taken over by my girls on nickeloden, disney channels and sg Kid's Central. i'm only watching news on the 17" old fashion tv upstairs without a cable line and its fuzzy but i'm not complaining. Using normal antenna, Hubby could even receive Indonesian channel for his live soccer games, no need to subscribe extra football channel to cable anyway.

Constance - I know what you mean. My TV is hijacked by the kids most of the time too. But Mrs. Spiff and me have a rule that after 8pm, the TV belongs to us ... LOL!
