You know, all of a sudden I have this urge to make myself a nice plate of spaghetti carbonara for dinner tonight. I've never ever made it before and if I do make it for dinner tonight it will be the first time ever. In fact I don't even know what I would need to make one ... LOL!
I know cooking doesn't sound like something a spaceman should be doing but who cares. Once in a while even macho and quirky spacemen like me need to show our gentle and feminine sides once in awhile right? LOL! Just don't you go telling any Zorkian bugs that I like cooking, now you hear? You wouldn't want to incur the wrath of a crazy spaceman annoying you for the rest of your life now, do you :D
Actually, Mrs. Spiff had spaghetti carbonara for dinner a couple of weeks back. It was the seafood kind and it looked so yummy that I stole some from her ... hehehe ... And I told her that I would like to try making some myself one day. I totally forgot about it until today when the urge just suddenly popped up.
But like I said, for the life of me, I have no idea what ingredients I need so I searched it up online and found so many different recipes that I'm now slightly confused already. I didn't know I would need things like all purpose cream, Nestle cream, pineapple tidbits, evaporated milk, flour (?) and a lot more stuff. That sounds like a lot of work. I think I'll just take Mrs. Spiff out and order some at out favourite food place. That would be so much less hassle.
Oooo, wait a minute, Mrs. Spiff is cooking something for dinner tonight and her cooking beats any seafood carbonara anytime! I can already hear my stomach growling in anticipation for dinner at home tonight :D

Dora - No la, I don't really know how to make spaghetti just yet, still in the trying to learn process ... LOL! If I do figure out how to make it, watch out for that courier man ... LOL!

i love pasta.. seafood and i love it with both the creamy or the tomato based. u making me hungry for pasta for breakfast! but i think i shall just make things simple and steam some bread instead.. maybe i'll pop by Pasta Mania for lunch with the girls! They love the food there!

i used to like spaghetti marinara more than carbonara but due to allergy to seafood...everytime i go for italian meal, i have to say bye2 to anything marinara...BUT thing is, even with my carbonara sauce, i will still looking for carbonara with prawns, scallops, etc on it.. screw my allergy huh. LOL!
Constance - In the end I ended up just making a chicken sandwich ... LOL! I'm still going to try making my own spaghetti soon though ...

I'm allergic to seafood too but only prawns. So I always give my prawns to Mrs. Spiff. Yeah, i agree with you, screw the allergy ... hahaha ...
