I'm actually not a very IT savvy person. When I first purchased a computer all those years ago, I practically knew nothing about how to work a computer properly. Sure, I knew where to press to switch on the PC and all that but if something went wrong with the system, I'd be totally lost.
I'm still not that IT savvy at the moment but over the years I did learn a thing or two about computers. Now I know that if my PC hangs on me, I just need to scream some profanities at it and if that doesn't work, then I just have to shut the darn thing off and go watch TV or something ... LOL! That always works for me.
Sometimes I wonder if I should actually go out and get myself more knowledge about computers and networking and all that stuff. Who knows, I could probably make a much more decent living with it than what I make in advertising, urrrmmm, I mean blasting Zorkian bugs. You know, maybe enroll myself in a Cisco certification program and get some first hand and expert computer knowledge from Cisco, a leading manufacturer of peripherals such as switches and firewalls.
I've checked out a few sites and according to what I've read, most companies actually hire people who do have certification and with your Cisco certification, it can't get any more credible than that, seeing as how they are a reputable and well known company! A Cisco certification does not simply imply being ahead of the competition, it's also a place to exchange ideas, browse technical content, share insights, opinions and knowledge with the whole IT community.
Now, if that isn't cool, I really don't know what is. So, don't wait, join me and lets get totally IT savvy with Cisco today :)
