It's that time of the month again when I sit anxiously and wait to be paid the slavery I do in this office. Wait a minute, I just realized something, they don't pay slaves ... LOL!
The thing is I get paid by a cheque over here and it's not always at the exact month end. Sometimes it a a couple of days after the month end and the disadvantage about being paid with a cheque is it still needs an additional 2 or 3 days to clear.
Imagine, you I'm paid on Monday and I bank in my cheque before 2pm to get it sent for clearing on the same day. I'll still need to wait an additional 2 days for the bank to float my money to god know where before I can actually use it. So in true fact I don't really get paid promptly at the end of the month.
And sometimes things crop up where you really need to use the money and that's when life becomes more difficult and the credit card debts start accumulating. Well, I heard about web based lending institutions that cater for just such needs.
They provide you a cash advance loan until your next pay day. They come in handy for emergency situations but come with a slightly higher interest rate. I suppose it's a fair price to pay since it's web based and repayments would not be guaranteed at the earliest date possible. Hey, they have to make money too, right? Otherwise why even start a business?
As for me, I think I'll just sit patiently and wait for my boss to pay us in a day or two :D
