Christmas has come and gone and now it's back to my training once again. Over the past week, I've put my training aside to celebrate in the spirit of Christmas, in other words eating and eating and eating like a fat pig ... LOL!
Well, it's time to get back in shape again. So today, Mrs. Spiff and me forced ourselves awake at an ungodly hour while most people were still sleeping soundly in their cozy beds from all the Christmas partying they did last night, there we were getting ready to go for our training run.
As if getting up at 6.30am the day after Christmas, especially after a hearty Christmas dinner last night wasn't insane enough, we just had to decided to head out 20 kilometers away to the city just to run. We drove all the way to the KLCC park, which is a beautiful place to run mind you to satisfy our insanity for running ... LOL!
We actually ran here last week after Mrs. Spiff discovered that KLCC had a nice decent park to run and found it to be entirely true. The park is beautiful and has a nice running track consisting of a 1.3km circuit encased by lovely and green trees with man-made lakes to soothe the eye as you run the circuit.
The only thing about running in parks is that you really don't have a place to store your gear while you run. They should provide some lockers there for runners to stash their stuff. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, maybe even a wood locker will do :P But then, knowing Malaysians, some moron will probably try to break into the locker and steal all your stuff.
Talking about lockers and all that, schools here should provide school lockers for the kids over here. I've seen tiny little primary kids lugging around huge bags to and fro school everyday which doesn't surprise why kids these days don't have good postures.
Anyways, I think I need to go lie down now cos I'm all exhausted from my run this morning. Here's wishing everyone a happy boxing day :D
