Junkfood Monster

I have a confession to make. I'm a junk food addict. I have been ever since I was a kid and I think I always will be. It bugs the hell out of Mrs. Spiff sometimes that I eat loads of junk food. But at least I'm consistent with my junk food cos I always stick to one particular junk food ... LOL!

And the junk food in question is the Mamee Monster noodle snack! I simply love the stuff. In fact, I've been eating that same particular noddle snack since I was in primary school (really) and even now, as a 42 year old spaceman, I'm still eating the stuff.

I'm just addicted to it. Back when I was young, I could even eat 5 packets at one go and still not be satisfied. The worst part is I still can eat 5 packets at one go and still not be satisfied! Whenever I go shopping at Tesco, I'll grab one or two packets that consist of ten in a pack and gleefully snack on them while reading or surfing when i get back home later.

I'll always make sure I never run out of the stuff. My favourite is the chicken flavour with the BBQ flavour coming in a close second. I'll normally buy one of each flavour and alternate between the two. But these days Mrs. Spiff has limited me to two packets a day. Darn! She says I eat way too much of the stuff and I know she's right but I can't resist the darned things.

I've been munching on them for close to 36 years so it's not easy giving up on them. Good god, has Mamee mee been around that long? I remember back when it was only 15sen a packet (I think). Now it's like 30 sen or is it 50 sen? I can't recall cos I buy a whole packet of 10 which is cheaper at RM2.50. Looking back I can't believe I've been snacking on this for 36 years!

And judging by the way I'm going, I'll probably be munching on it for god knows how many years. Maybe Mamee should give me a porcelain tile award for being their most loyal customer or something. Better yet, maybe they should give me a lifetime free supply of the stuff! LOL!
