The Ideas People Come Up With ...

I don't really blog about politics and politicians much cos they're really a bunch of useless people and don't deserve much blog time. But this article I read in the local media on November 1st made me do a double take. I wanted to post about it earlier but totally forgot until today.

The local government of the historical state of Malacca over here is planning to give RM1,000 for men who take single mothers as a second wife! I find that totally insulting to all single mothers out there. That statement implies that all single mothers are a desperate bunch of people.

What a stupid move. I wonder what was going through the morons mind when he came up with this brilliant idea, maybe he's got mesothelioma. It's just tantamount to selling off single mothers for a price of a mere RM1,000. I'm sure this is going to get a lot of men scrambling to take on second wives, after all you also get an additional RM1,000 plus a new bride. It's a great deal isn't it?

Single mothers have dignity too, just in case the Malacca government didn't know that. Instead of making this stupid suggestion, why not just give the money to the single mums? That would be so much better, right? I'm waiting with bated breath to see what moronic idea they'll come up with soon and I have no doubt that they will.
