A Walk In Nature ...

I'm still feeling the effects of my stint with nature on Saturday. The body aches in places I never knew could ache! Darn, for someone who says he's a quirky and macho little spaceman, this doesn't bode too well! Age catches up with even us spacemen.

After waking up early and finishing those phenphedrine reviews that I had to do, Mrs. Spiff and me took the boys out for a nature expedition, it wasn't really an expedition but it sounds more dramatic that way ... hehehe ...

Well, we went to Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam, the nearest nature park that didn't require me to drive too far. I'm not going to elaborate too much about the whole stint. You can read it and even see some pictures in that Nick fellows blog but all I can say is that my body is not as fit as it used to be just one year ago.

I was so excited when I reached the park and was full of energy. I was running here and there prompting everyone to run along with me. When the boys pestered both Mrs. Spiff and me to rent bicycles for them which we did, I even borrowed the bike for awhile and happily rode off into the distance with my younger boy urging him to keep up.

When we reached this steep hill, he gave up and gave me this 'you're crazy look' for trying to ride up that hill as fast as I could. Well, all that boundless energy came back and took revenge on me later in the day when I reached home. I could hardly walk cos every joint that could ache, ached like crazy. Gosh, I didn't know I was this unfit.

I'm a running fanatic or rather I was a running fanatic up to as close as last year. But I haven't run in ages and I thought I'd still be as fit as I was last year. Good god almighty! How wrong I was. Every move I made elicited some kind of groan from me. Mrs. Spiff couldn't help me much cos she was in as much pain as I was ... LOL!

But all that aside, I must say I enjoyed the nature stint very much. It makes a change from cruising the malls. The kids weren't all that happy to be out in some jungle but hey, it was good for them. Mrs. Spiff and me are planning to head back there again at the year end and maybe even stay overnight in one of the chalets or just camp out in the open since they have camping facilities.

I know I said I didn't want to put up pictures here but I couldn't resist it :D

Spiff, yep I stay in Shah Alam, the land of the storms. I'm looking for a place to take pictures with Soulie. I guess I should go here soon.

Oh you saw camouflaged guys? Hehhe, I was asking because one of my buddies were in the tournament.

Was quite surprised that you were there too. I thought you were zapping paintballers LOL.

The cute animal is actually a Nepalese Tree Mouse. Don't google it, I just know.

Oh, one more thing. Is the lens flare on the first pic added or is that original?

Sekian, Terima Kasih (telltale sign here LOL)

AnnyBoo - Yeah, I really should learn how to swim but the phobia is still there la ...

Bem - Storms? You mean you guys have storms? Darn, I should move there! LOL!

You should, it's a nice picture taking place :D

I didn't know that a paintball event was going on. I didn't stop and watch though cos the bloody bus didn't want to stop there! darn the driver.

Nepalese tree mouse huh? Is that the Bem speaking or Prof Kelentong? LOL! But I'll take your word for it :D

Added on la buddy that lens flare. The picture itself was so boring, that flare added heaps and bounds to it ... LOL!

Nice photos of the park. I like that first photo!

I have been there a few years back. Do you still need to pay to enter the 4 seasons house?

How much do you pay to enter the park?

Spiff said...

Emila - Thank you :D You sudah balik kah?

Spiff said...

Foong - Yes, you still need to pay but not really very much. RM3 for adults and RM1 for children below 12 years.

Entrance fee is the same. RM3 for adults and RM1 for children below 12 years of age.
