Broaden My Horizons

A friend asked me today if I had a dowel pin at home. I gave him this blurry look and asked him just what the heck a dowel pin is?

I've never even heard of the word dowel let alone know what it is. A pin maybe, but a dowel pin? Geez, I really should start reading a lot more and broaden my horizons. I'll bet all of you know what a dowel pin is except me. Maybe I should read the dictionary for an hour every night before I sleep. But then again, I bet I'll fall asleep right away the moment I read one sentence from a dictionary ... LOL!
