Buggy Confessions ...

Ok, I have a confession to make and I'm not too proud of it. I know I always claim I'm a spaceman and all but I have this deep phobia of bugs, and I mean all kinds of bug, well almost all kinds. Yesterday while I was surfing, my son was in the room at the same time and suddenly he screamed in fright and point up to the wall in front of me. I looked up at what he was pointing at and what I saw made me scream in fright too! There was this huge flying roach on the wall, well, ok maybe not that huge, but it was a roach nonetheless and a flying one at that!

I was out of my chair in a flash and both me and my son continued screaming and called for Mrs. Spiff to go take care of that flying bug. When it comes to bugs and stuff like that, she's the brave one in the family. So, while we were both huddled in fear, Mrs. Spiff came over and tried to squash the bug ...

'Eeewwww Honey, make sure you wash your hands with Dettol before touching me ....' (LOL)

Well, to cut a long story short, she didn't squash the damn critter and it got away but at least I felt safe again! I'm really afraid of roaches and creepy crawlies. I'd run screaming for help if I came across one. I know, I know, that's sad for a spaceman who's tackled loads of Zorkian killer bed bugs, so what's a roach right? Well, wrong! I hate them, they stink, they're dirty, they're slimy and worse yet, some of them can fly even!

Ok, enough about confessions and all. The very thought of those roaches is enough to give me the chills. I'd better go get my trusty old ray gun and keep it under my pillow tonight. You can't be too sure with them no good roaches!
