Crime Doesn't Pay!

Hmmmm, seeing as how I'm in foul mood ... LOL! Let me share with you guys something I read in the local papers today. I bought The Malay Mail when I went home for lunch, which I normally do. And there was this front page headline on this bus driver who was sentenced to 688 months in jail for illegally smuggling in immigrants. All this is fine and peachy with me. My policy is you do the crime, you pay the time. Now what really irked me was this bus driver had the cheek to tell the judge that it was his first offense and he shouldn't deserve such a sentence! So now if I go shoot someone and it's my first offense, I can tell the judge that it's my first time and I don't deserve to be jailed? What a load of rubbish.

To me, he deserves every bit of that sentence. He's been a bus driver for two years and god knows how many times he's got away with this. I salute the judge who handed him the sentence and I hope he gets to serve every single one of those 688 months behind bars! There's been too much crime going on in this world and someone should do something about it, that's why that judge is my hero :D

I mean people try all kinds of excuses to get away with crime after they're caught. Another instance is this lady who was caught smuggling drugs in an airport in some country I forgot. And when she was apprehended, her excuse was this guy ask me to help him bring his bag along with me and I didn't know what was inside. I mean, puhleaazzzeeeee ... why even carry a bag for some stranger let alone not check it first. How stupid do they think the authorities are? I guess these people have got tons of excuses ready for when they're caught. I hope the judges for their cases do what's right and not fall for their innocent victim routine.

I'm sorry to be in such a horrible ranting mood but I just had to let it out of my system :) Now I feel better ... LOL!

Oh, I have to agree with you on this one, mate. We have the same kind of crooked people here trying to use the same excuses to get away with murder!

Kudos to that judge who handed out that 688 months, what's that, around 57 years? That is a long time ....

i'm totally with you 100%! even if that lady smuggler was innocent, then she totally deserves to be punished for being stupid! i've been approached so many times by strangers to help carry their luggage. fine! lemme see what's inside first la.. do i have 'dumb dumb' stamped on my forehead??

Syura - Actually I think it's cos these dumb dumbs think they can get away with it. They don't realize that it's their ass on the line if they get caught. But then there's always the 'I didn't know what's in the bag' line they can use on the judge.

I'll try and rant more. Let me go check the papers, I'm sure there's something in there that will piss me off ... LOL!
